This is a little bit tricky to understand
USSR left the competition when their side moved to VP.
However, ICSC has decided that they should play in Group A, (the group they were drawn into when they were USSR) not Group B (the group the previous VP were drawn into).
So the group they play in is dictated by the Players in the Team, not the Teams name.

its strange, but it makes sense
this team played group stage 1, and were assigned group A for group stage 2.
Just because they changed name doesnt mean they get another group.
Just like when RAGE turned into ESC Gaming, they didnt change anything.
The only thing confusing, is there was already a VP team (which is now not playing).

But there is one big difference - ESC didn't have a slot in 2nd group stage, while both USSR and VP had. I beleive in this case the slot is given to organisation.
But we can remember the situation about KerchNet, Na'Vi, starix and IEM Eu in the beginning of 2010. And the slot was given to starix and his new team Na'Vi, not to KerchNet.
But still it's not so important, the fact is that they are allowed to play and it's kewl!
