I don't play/haven't played CSGO (apart from a few solo queue matchmaking games). You don't see me in any "roster" because I have never competed in any international tournaments. Sure, my level was one notch below the top Indian teams but I was very much a part of the local LAN scene (NCR and Bangalore, based on where I was living at the time). I never claimed to be the best or super pro or anything of that sort.

I understand that they are horrendous ( in comparison to european teams) and will be stomped. But so will the other Asian teams be. India and China both hold potential for massive growth in esports. So its worthwhile wasting a slot on them even if it only marginally boosts the indian scene.

Yes ofcourse. I dont mind that much. But I would prefer the teams playing would be there because of skill, not politics. Valve could set up a program for countries that have a hard tim efinding proper sponsorship, to get to european/american tournametns like this. Just make the majors have a pre-lan tournament From whre people qualify to the main event then. No online qualifiers for such an important event.

This opportunity for them will only boost the growth of the game there. Everyone else making fun of those Indian teams need to look at the bigger picture for once and think about how cool it would be if CS was a truly global game. Although Brazil should have gotten a qualifier aswell.
