I think China is probably cooked anyway, there's a MESA lan in like 3 days and the winner gets $5.5k

they will get here and ff another one and ra will get more points also RA will be the best team in the final qualifer to PGL astana so i wouldnt be surprized if they make it through so thats 2 more wins for RA

No point in forfeiting here. MESA is hosting 2 $10k LANs right before the cut-off, so I don't think China has a real chance for two spots

those lans dont have many matches tho what made dfrag be so OP in terms of vrs points is the ammount of matches not the prizepool. and the LAN are: first lan (just 8 teams one bracket so max 3 matches) and second lan: 4 teams also single bracket so 2 matches max. current gap is 150 points and it will be even more if RA win this match from an FF, and then a single team would have to win both of those mesa tourneys and that wont be easy for them

also on the first tournament 4 out of 8 teams arent ranked in vrs so thats one less match that gives points

Okay, yeah, seems like you got a point. I guess then the only way for Mongolia to get the second spot would be the same team winning both?

if those bastards will start forfeit as well I will snap, mesa made everything so Mongolia get 2 spot, they moved asian and chinese qf later, added 10k prize pool TO QUALIFIERS and make them right before the major cut off

i mean basically yeah a loss is like -20 points cause all the teams are close to eachother on points and a loss also means no more matches to be played cause no losers bracket. But we will see how it will be when the tournament starts and thats on the 1st of april

RMR better, this system is a joke, very poor designed. Not even done yet. The valve ranking do show the level of the teams in certain situation. But it just runs like the capital. The ones who are richer than the others could invest their resources to gain more and establish their advantage. And I have to say that the ones who are benefitting now always more chance to protect their ranking. Cause there will be more games for them. The goal of the valve ranking was announced as "give the grassroots more chances", but just look at the actual situation. If we focus on the regional qualifiers to Major, the region that are less competitive could have more slot. I admit that the Mongols is a great team, and all the Asian teams sould be thankful for their performance in the last 2 years. But when Tyloo made into the legend stage, all the Asian teams were having the chance to qualify equally. So I don't think only the mongolian teams could have the extra slot. As a fan of CS, I was expecting the match between RA and LVG yesterday. But their choice is understandable, and I'm totally fine with it. We shouldn't blame MESA nor LVG or some other teams that are trying to play clever. It's Valve that should think about their genius system. Just like Shanghai Major, we just saw a comedy witch calls a EU team failed to qualified to Major in fxxkinh Asian RMR.

"We shouldn't blame MESA" I still blame them and the AU organizers because they know what they're doing And the teams that take advantage of it are just as dirty No one blames LVG or RA because they have no other choice imo and they aren't abusing TO loopholes like the other teams are

Damn Aussies, abusing the system by... hosting LANs? What stops China from doing the same? If INDIA, of all countries, can manage, then so can China. LV are abusing the system by, essentially, matchfixing and deliberately dropping out of the tournament.

it's not and the system favors LANs so heavily because LANs are the only CS that matters and improves the region much more. it's a form of reward for giving a shit about your region.

Yes, it's essentially the fault of this fxxking system.

rmr better, by hosting LANs just for the points won't help but make things worse. the regional tier 2 or 3 teams could only serve for the tier 1 teams' rankings by loosing games. and they're benefiting of it also, cause there will be a extra slot for mrq.

Trying to maintain integrity i guess. Forfeiting a tourney entirely will be more acceptable than ff win then ff again.

also why china couldn't host vrs ranked lan tournaments? surely their TOs are more capable than doing stuff like that compared to second world country mongolia island australia and no scene india? it's not like chinese TOs such as perfect world haven't been doing dirty shit since the online RMR era ....

The TOs only host big events and seek for profit. pw (which is the host for this event) wasn’t even going to host this qualifier as lan
2025-03-30 12:31

And I thought the more capable the TOs are, the more rational and profit-incentivised decisions they make. idk what incentive pushed mesa to host this much lans in Mongolia (nationalism? mutual agreements with teams?). the scene isn’t going to improve if t2 Mongolians teams go to Austin and get 0-3ed

perfect world and "rational" doesn't go along very well we all know what perfect world were doing to mongolian teams during online rmr era in 2020... they could've been "nationalistic" too, but they decided to act like innocent white birds which they AREN'T.

please just elaborate a bit more on what u said we know pw isn’t the brightest TO but they probably want to improve their image especially if they just hosted the major

I'm just saying perfect world used to give chinese teams info from their spectators in the server and giving them unfair advantages during online games in rmr in 2020

lyhn vision should've won dogevil and forgeit to ra, that way rare atom would gain much more points and wouldn't have a chance to lose -25 while gaining only +5 for dogevil game, also sad that lv have to forfeit because I believe they would've won against ra and qualified to astana, but no they have to forfeit
