Group A will be tough for all the teams trying to compete with the WCG holders – Pentagram.

Group A consists of:

Poland PGSPokerStrategy
Other 4gl.kgb
Greece SouthPark
Canada TeamEG
Russia Virtus.Pro

This group should be relatively easy for the holders, Pentagram. They have performed well in 2007, winning the ESWC 2007 Finals they will easily be the favourite for the entire tournament let alone their group. Virtus.pro will be second favourites to qualify in this group, however they have underperfomed lately and had many roster changes over the year which will mean the Canadian Evil Geniuses are in with a chance.
