Mad Catz prize distribution unveiled

Esports Heaven has announced how the €10,000 prize purse of the Mad Catz CS:GO Invitational will be distributed.

Right now, all eyes are on the Austrian event, which will take place this weekend at the Imperial Riding School Renaissance Hotel, as some of Europe's strongest teams will lock horns in the first major international tournament of 2013.

Ninjas in Pyjamas will be looking to pick up where they left off in 2012, having won all LAN events they have so far attended, keeping an impressive unbeaten run in the process.

Teams like VeryGames, who recently picked up Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom, ESC Gaming and Natus Vincere will also be in attendance, ready to give the Swedes a run for their money.

Mad Catz CS:GO Invitational prize breakdown:

I get approx 1200 euro a month from studying. My rent is 400 euros, food and bills is about 300 so in total I pay 700 euro for living each month, wich means I have about 500 euro left each month, aka a normal pro gaming salary.

What are you even talking about from 2009~ on there were barely tournaments for 1.6 compared to CS:GO now. If this organisation keeps hosting tournament like this they host like 4-5 a year. Don't forget it's € and not $.

i cant understand your point, but if u doubt enter on 1.6 tournaments coverage and search for prizes, 80% of randon tournaments in 1.6 had more prizes than 90% of csgo tournaments edit : its €6.000 for the whole team for example : NiP won this tournament they need to divide the prize in 5 players and maybe with manager €1.000 max for each one, who can live with this ?

I'm saying that you can win only with winning all their tournaments like $30000 (if they keep hosting tournaments) in a year. Theres gonna be Copenhagen Games with roughly $22000 for the first place. There are gonna be 5? dreamhacks this year including the final event in late 2013. There's gonna be a 10000€ in France very soon. Techlabs Cup just has started to host CS:GO tournaments. ($8000 for the first) There is gonna be the global final for the ESEA league with $17.500 for the first. ESL hands out $156.000 just for their EMS ONE league in 2013. In late 2013 theres gonna be the new event in Dubai with $40000. Esports heaven has announced their next event already in England with 11.500�. Not to mention national leagues and weekly cups like Go4CS:GO at ESL. Thats what just came to my mind. (:

There are other tournaments + Cups aswell. Also don't forget the salary they get. Oh and if you want to become rich with gaming you're obviously not going to become. A fulltime gamer can easily live with 1000€ monthly.

There is such a thing called salary which NiP players get every month and which contains around 800 euros or even more. Knowing that NiP is a stable organization it probably does. Also read again what #23 wrote and stop being retarded

I'm sure prize money will increase once viewing figures are up. First tournament (LAN) that mad catz have sponsored for the prizepot, depending on how it goes and what they get out of it, if the tournament is a huge success then I'm sure you'll be seeing the prizemoney doubled if not more. ESH have only just started running LAN events - so far I think there main aim is to make them as successful as possible, they are known to have amazing contacts with industry and will be able to secure larger prize fund as time goes by, exact same happened with CSS tournaments they had provided before i.e. Gadget Show tournaments, Best of luck all teams.

I think the all together the total prize pool for CSGO for this year will easily get $500,000. Dreamhack, ESWC, ESports heaven, IEM, Dubai Games, cophen, CG, ESEA, EMS, EPS, Tech. All together would eeasly get 500k plus. I couldnt evne think of anymore. But i know theres more. I could see the total prize money for CSGO for tournaments reaching near 1mill. Would be nice if someone could total up tootal prize pool for csgo.
