Madrid to host EPS X Finals

The Electronic Sports League (ESL) has revealed that Madrid will stage the LAN finals of the tenth season of EPS Spain.

The event will take place at the Telefónica Flagship store, a telecommunications musem and auditorium inside the Telefónica Building, in Madrid's Gran Vía 28, on the weekend of March 23rd to 24th.

All four EPS Games - Counter-Strike: GO, League of Legends, Fifa 13 and Starcraft II - will have their finals there, with all participants receiving paid travel and accommodation to the event in the Spanish capital.

Only the top two CS:GO teams will make it to the LAN finals, where they will be playing for the first prize of €3,000. The losing finalist will return home with a €1,500 cheque.

ASES are highly favoured to win the EPS crown after x6tence were surprisingly sent packing in the quarter-finals, courtesy of OverGaming, a result which made the Spanish giants replace Luis "Wyks" Cubas with Jesús "oFF" Castillo García.

The tournament is currently in the semi-final stage, with OverGaming set to face
David "Kairi" de Miguel's Karont3, while ASES will meet the winner of the match between 34united and Arkhe.
