i48 group draw

The group draw of iSeries48 has been made, with the 29 participants having learned who they will come up against in the opening stage.

Held in Telford, a town located approximately 50km west of Birmingham, i48 has managed to attract some of the UK's finest teams, unlike the last edition, which was easily won by fm-eSports TOXiC.

Anexis eSports are heavily tipped to secure the top prize of £2,000 (approximately €2,300), but they are expected to face stiff battle for the trophy, not only from fm TOXiC but also from Joshua "steel" Nissan's Dignitas.

Before the group draw was made, the i48 organisers seeded just eight teams, who were then placed into separate groups. Only the group winners will qualify for the playoffs, which will use a double-elimination format.
