AMD Sapphire Invitational stats added

HLTV.org is happy to announce we have finally received the server log files from AMD Sapphire Invitational and finalized full statistics from the event. We now have stats from every big CS:GO event.

AMD Sapphire Invitational was won by NiP with VeryGames clinching a second place over mostly Slovakian 3DMAX, who managed to upset the Frenchmen in the group stage.

However, the most notable fact about this event is only revealed now as we see Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund's monster performance he unleashed right from the get go.

The number one player in our statistics database finished the event in Prague with an astounding 1.16 KPR, +144 in just 236 rounds and with just one below double digit positive K-D ratio map.

GeT_RiGhT put up an all-time great performance in Prague

Flanking him was teammate Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg who recorded a 0.9 KPR, meaning the two stars of NiP killed 2.06 players every single round of the tournament, and combined that with K-D ratio of +93.

Buykey's standing for the event, current VeryGames star Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom also had an impressive event, finishing third overall with a 0.97 KPR and +66.

Full event statistics from AMD Sapphire Invitational are now available here. Special thanks to Julien "Destro" Pardons, the creator of eBot, who made this possible by recreating the server logs from his data.

I'd like to know what HLTV.org consider a "big" event. Obviously it has to be an international event, but other than that ? At least 8 teams ? Prize Pool ? Qualifiers ? By my standards, there are ESWC 2012, DreamHack Winter 2012, AMD Sapphire Invitational and Mad Catz Invitational. Is that it ?

I disagree. Thor Open had only Scandinavian teams, while Northcon had barely enough variety to be called a European tournament (7 different nationalities over 16 teams) hltv.org/?pageid=214&eventid=1031 hltv.org/?pageid=82&eventid=1034 Besides, their name says it all ^^.

a reasonable amount of prize money and good teams. eswc, dreamhack winter, amd sapphire invitational, thor open, northcon, sltv starseries iv, mad catz invitational and techlabs cup come to mind at first. we also have a bunch of smaller events like dreamhack valencia, your road to katowice, eizo qpad esport fever, etc.

Ok thanks. Well I don't really think that tournaments where there are not enough teams to even represent Europe (Northcon, Thor Open...) are in the same category but I agree however that they are above the average for sure. Anyway, thanks for the answer, I needed to know from what you based your opinion.
