Copenhagen Games group draw

The group draw for Copenhagen Games has been made, as the 32 participating teams have learned who they will come up against on Friday morning.

The first day of Copenhagen Games, live from Øksnehallen, is now behind us, and only 32 teams remain in contention for the first prize of €16,500, which represents half of the total prize pool.

These 32 sides have been divided into eight groups of four teams, with each group having one high seed, one low seed and two teams from the qualifiers.

Ninjas in Pyjamas have been handed a relatively easy task as they will lock horns with Curse's Finnish side and with Danish duo EYES ON U and myRevenge. VeryGames are also expected to come out on top of their group, but they will find things a little bit harder after being paired with 3DMAX, Lemondogs and iRage.

The group draw has also renewed some national rivalries: Anexis will take on Reason Gaming, Western Wolves will tackle Copenhagen Wolves, n!faculty will lock horns with mousesports, and Virtus.pro will play against Nostalgie.

Each group match will be played in a best-of-three format. The top two sides from each group will progress to the Upper Bracket, which will use a best-of-three format, while the bottom two will fight for their lives in the best-of-one Lower Bracket.
