Na´Vi lose first BX3 map by default

Natus Vincere got off on the wrong foot at Copenhagen Games after losing the first map against BX3 by default for arriving late at the scene.

In an effort to keep delays to a minimum, the Copenhagen Games admins are taking no prisoners and have shown how determined they are to punish teams if they do not keep up with the schedule.

Having arrived at the venue some minutes later than they were supposed to, Na´Vi have lost the first map against BX3 by default.

markeloff surprised at admin decision

The Ukrainian team are still dealing with computer problems, which is why the match against the Norwegian side has not yet started.

Stay tuned to HLTV.org for full coverage of Copenhagen Games.

As ceh9 says at his Facebook; 1st map we will probably loose because we are too late. We got told to be in venue at 10.00 When we arrived for 10.00 we got told that we had to be here at 9.00. Thats the story Sorry if incorrect i translated from russian to english in translator and rewrite it by myself

Well who knows. All I can say is other teams came there in time. Thats why I believe admins, and not Na'Vi. But hey, they will win this game anyway, 2-1

it's always possible na`vi's manager asked when they have to be there and admin said the game starts at 10am, and they misunderstood that. i have no idea what happened, but i'm just saying it's not always that simple. besides, cph admins have proven to be completely incompetent.

Agreed. But as always there's 2 sides of the story. Would like to give them some credit for actually punish people for being late, there was a russian team who were late aswell I think.

why are you so sure? because ceh9 said so? come on. NaVi is known for being late at LAN. no one knows at what time NaVi was told to get to the venue, but we all see other teams got their for their games. the schedule was here on hltv, the streams were ready...

easy bro. what's wrong with not being a 1.6 player? and btw i DO play 1.6 and have followed the scene for 2 years. calm down angry head! actually in PODcast lurppis said something about NaVi being late at the other event and not getting any map losed by default because of them being a big team. so i guess i must say "has been late before without punishment" instead of "known for being late". Happy?

I haven't watched PODcast so if lurppis said then it's probably right. But intriguing thing is why were late for 1h and 10min? I'd understand them being late for 20-25mins but an hour? Too many inconsistencies from both parties in this argument, but it the end nothing changed, cause Na`Vi won the game anyways :)

again, if the admin told them to be there an hour after, then it's the admin's fault, which we cannot clarify just yet. but what should absolutely be done is to take one map away from NaVi for arriving late.

I dont understand this event. Year after year they have all this "controversial" stuff, like multiple teams from same country being in same group/same side of bracket (russian & uk teams this time?), teams getting wrong information (like this case, according to Markeloff's twitter), or rules being changed on fly during tournament (Online Kingdom & Moscow Five @ CPH G 2011 anyone?).. :(

hltv.org/?pageid=216&eventid=741&groupin.. Three-way tie between M5, OK, mTw. M5 had worst plus/minus round difference, but continued as 2nd team from the group due to admins changing rules on fly. hltv.org/news/6637-xperia-play-reaches-p.. Check comment #5 and replies, it was kinda huge deal :P

Na`Vi probably deserved it since they were late, but I also believe that the admins might've fucked up, by telling them to be at the venue at 10am! It's been 1 day only and the admins have done so many stupid things, and now they're trying to fix that. As justified as this decision might be, the real reason is that the admins are trying to 'make things right' after the debacle from yesterday. Oh and I really like the draw, it doesn't seem like a set-up at all :)

Unless they were only using papers in the draw(no container or shit like that) they could've easily set it up :) I'm not saying they did cause I don't think they have mental capacity to do that. If it wasn't a set-up, tough luck then, miracles do happen.

lol so you honestly think that the admins told na'vi the wrong time yet managed to tell the other 31 teams the correct time, Na'vi clearly fucked up and are just trying to blame the admins so that they don't look like idiots and to even imply that they rigged the draw just proves that you are a spastic

omg -.- I don't think that they did it on purpose! It was probably a mistake, a miscoordination between the admins, and it's not like NaVi's 'reputation' and the fact whether they look liek idiots or not (they could've easily used an excuse such as traffic jam, lost X/Y/Z, anything can seem reasonable as a matter of fact) does not influence their performance on GO events at all. And if Na`Vi did know the correct time why would they be late 1h and 10 mins? Bottom line Doesn't matter if they were told 9 or 10, Na`Vi fucked, and it was about time someone started punishing teams for basically DELAYING the whole tournament! The admins are not the smartest guys around and they're overcompensating now for yesterday's mistakes! (Or they fired everybody that was there yesterday and hired a competent set of people)

not possible that 31 other teams were told anything and navi anything else. + whole scheudule was known dayz ago. With a certain times when they are supposed to start. I cant see that as a fail from anyone else than navi.

When have things ever gone according to plan at CS tournament? Other than Korean tournaments, I don't remember other tournaments in which games have actually started on schedule. As I said nice above, it might not have been the same admin telling Na`Vi when to be there. Anyway I'm tired for fighting for unimportant stuff that's not gonna affect the tournament in the end because Na`Vi won the match as expected!

I have to know, what excactly were they so incompetent about yesterday, besides the supposedly "rigged" groupdraw?

Their fuck-ups go way back with the invites. Not inviting Quantic is simply the pinnacle of stupidity! Then going from 4-0 to 6-0 and 10k to everybody after a server (with all the improvement to handle problems like this one in GO) should tell you about enough you need to know about their competence! Oh and last sentence of #105

The thing about Quantic is a done deal, nothing to do with he admins, no matter who you support. I did not know about the money and score situations, which ofc should be in order. Does not seem like SUCH a bad job, but lets just hope the rest of today go as planned. Yeah, I am not up for arguing, I was just curious :)
