mouz thump ESC in group round two

mousesports have caused the first big upset of the Copenhagen Games group stage by defeating ESC Gaming with ease.

The German giants had struggled against KILLERFISH, a match which required a third map and saw a lot of close rounds being exchanged, but they picked themselves up with a convincing performance against ESC to seal passage into the playoffs.

de_inferno_se was the first map, and here mousesports were simply far too hot to handle, running out 16-3 victors after taking a staggering 12 rounds on the CT side. On de_dust2_se, things were more even, with ESC even taking a narrow 8-7 lead at the break, but mouz put on a show in the second half and won the map 16-11.

Elsewhere, Ninjas in Pyjamas made easy meat of myRevenge, winning de_nuke_se 16-1 and de_inferno_se 16-5 in what probably was one of the quickest matches we will get to see in this tournament.

The Swedish side will now meet Curse's Finnish team, who also top Group G on six points after a 2-0 triumph over EYES ON U.

nooky helped mouz to beat ESC

After a close match against Lemondogs, VeryGames were on cruise control against iRage as they conceded just one round on de_nuke_se and de_mirage_go to pick up three more points.

Anexis eSports and Curse are now sharing the top of Group C following 2-0 victories over Reason Gaming and LowLandLions, respectively. The two teams will face each other to determine which of them will get a better seed in the playoffs.

The same situation is going on in Group E, in which Copenhagen Wolves and Western Wolves both sit at the summit ahead of the match between the two.

Stay tuned to HLTV.org for complete coverage of Copenhagen Games. If you go to the event page, you will be able to find all the info, including group standings, results, statistics and galleries.

I know, but karrigan made some damage with his awp, that "opened/turned" the rounds for the whole team. But it wasnt crucial though.

whats the upset ? this isnt 1.6, theres no reason whatsoever to call this an upset in cs:go, esc already lost to far worse teams than mouz, multiple times

even in CS 1.6 mouz was able to beat ESC from time to time. but that sentence is okay because mouz was doing very bad in CS:GO so far.
