Cph Games group stage finished

The Copenhagen Games group stage has finally come to an end, and we are now about to enter the double elimination stage.

After the first two round of matches had been played without any major delays, the third group round took almost five hours as network problems made all matches that were still going on shut down.

The biggest surprise in the group stage came in the form of Natus Vincere finishing outside the top two following a three-way tie with Epsilon and fnatic.

With the group stage now behind us, this is how the 32 participants will be distributed in the playoffs:

Teams through to BO3 Upper Bracket:
France VeryGames Sweden Lemondogs
Denmark fnatic Sweden Epsilon
United Kingdom Anexis eSports United States Curse
United States Quantic Norway Temp.no
Denmark Copenhagen Wolves Denmark Western Wolves
Germany mousesports Poland ESC Gaming
Sweden Ninjas in Pyjamas Finland Curse
Russia Virtus.pro Sweden Publiclir.se
Teams through to BO1 Lower Bracket:
Slovakia 3DMAX Denmark iRage
Ukraine Na´Vi Norway BX3
United Kingdom Reason Gaming Netherlands LowLandLions
Denmark fm-eSports TOXiC Germany ALTERNATE
Norway plan-B Denmark ServerForge
Denmark KILLERFISH Germany n!faculty
Denmark EYES ON U Denmark myRevenge
Denmark Xapso Russia Nostalgie

The draw for the playoffs will be made very soon. Stay tuned to HLTV.org for all the information about Copenhagen Games.

So it's against NaVi once again. :)

What exactly do the rules say? It does seem odd that they counted the maps against BX3.

Fucked over by Map Difference. The default map vs BX3 really busted their balls! Only themselves to blame though.

How did they decide to interpret the rules? As far as i can count navi should have placed number 1.

yea, but there wasn't mentioned "MAP ponits" but simply "points". And as all 3 teams got same amount of map points then admins should count round difference points.

They did not get same amount of map points. Navi have one less than the others, due to a 2-1 victory over BX3 Let it go..

but You have written it yourself: "points differential in the matches between the teams concerned" so according to this match vs BX3 should not be considered. I am not defending NaVi or something but for me rules wasn't clear enough. But You are right. Let's forget about it and enjoy playoffs :)

What me miss i think is.. That "teams concerned" is relative to teams qualifying from the group, and since ALL teams are actually qualifying then they are all taking into account.

Editing a topic won't change the decision CPH Games made, if anything it'll mean we'll be giving false information.

If you get there late you have to face the consequences really. I don't believe the that their manager got there early and was told it was at 10.

what the fuck copenhagen. this is just stupid. why would they do that. after all the hype about this tournament- it seems there is some very questionable decision making going on. nonetheless, the teams are what I am here to watch, not just troll shitty organizers trying their best. go quantic
