3DMAX in shambles *

3DMAX has broken up following another disappointing results that saw them crash out at last place in Copenhagen Games with only Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács remaining in the organization.

When contacted by HLTV.org, Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács said the team had been slacking ever since Mad Catz CS:GO Invitational, and that the only player besides him who had been working to improve was Marek ".PhP" Kadek.

According to him the rest of the team wasn't serious about improving as a team and refused to put in more than a couple of hours a night in preparation despite bigger promises, and he felt that wasn't enough to become a contender.

At Copenhagen Games the team's lack of preparation was clear, as they only scored a win over iRAGE before bowing out with a 25-32nd place due to losses versus VeryGames, Lemondogs and n!faculty.

We have also received a full statement from Kovács' teammate Kadek, who had also played with the talented AWPer during their CS:S days prior to the CS:GO switch:

"This Guardian is whole different player than the one you used to remember from old Lan79, who had all on "his sausage". He cares about cs:go more than he ever cared about cs:source, he cares about team both outside and inside, often filling in for managers. He is no longer the player we had to restrain from doing something stupid, more likely he will now tell you what's best for you in game, said Kadek to HLTV.org

"I must say, even though it's hard to imagine, he is now much better player than he was in CS:S, as a whole. During the years I was away he changed a lot, and I'm sure it would be great addition for any team, as he is now very complete player. Sure, he never played in international/english speaking team, but give him a week or two at top, and he will get used to it.

"Good luck Guardian, hopefully you find The Team :)

"In the meantime, I am stepping back. I am not quitting, but I am not going to play seriously for some time now. I feel that I need to improve a lot of aspects of my game, and I'm not going to step into spotlight or get myself dragged into one unless I feel ready. And that time may never come, and if so, then this is quiet goodbye to my 'career'."

Now Kovács has chosen to break up the team. He will still remain in the 3DMAX organization as he plans on either joining an international team or building one for 3DMAX. Quitting is not an option for him, at least not this year.

3DMAX was:

3DMAX has also dropped out of RaidCall EMS One, where they managed to qualify for the main round. It is currently unsure if someone else will replace them in group C.

Wow. And to think they made an April Fools' joke about GuardiaN and oskar leaving the team to make a new SK line-up. Best of luck to the two of them; both star players, both deserving of the best (although oskar should put the hours in if GuardiaN is telling the truth).

Hehe. Know the feeling. You don't have players who want to improve, so what you do? Find who want too, but they don't have the experience, aim etc, to be good as the previous teammates were, dilemma. Good luck though.

If you think about it, 3DMAX should have at least placed in the top 8. Finishing 25th-32nd is not what you would expect out of them.

he is by far the best player in the team, and his ambitions are way higher

There is no way you can find replacements in SVK/CZ. I hope that at least PhP. will be included in the new LU. He was just inconsistent, but only he showed the potencial of being able to compete with TOP players. (Not writing about Guard, he already was at the TOP)

I guess it wasn't a good choice bringing back oskar. csgo.raidcall-emsone.com they should ask temp.no since they placed 17th.

I must say that guardian deserves better but it will end up the same way like when oscar joined that german team for ESL Master Series and they found out that communication is a huge barrier and that you can play like that. But ofc Gl to guardian and the others hope to see awesome line up filled with top notch players

The RaidCall EMS spot should go to temp.no, they were the 17th team on the qualifier list and played way better than a lot of the qualified teams at Cph Games - seems only fair they receive that spot!
