4Kings announce CS:GO squad

4Kings have announced on their website that they have decided to give CS:GO a new chance with a brand new lineup.

The UK-based organisation had been without a CS:GO division since the ESWC qualifier in October, in which they were defeated by aliquo in the quarter-finals after losing Aaron "AaroN" Hemmings to mTw.

4Kings have now decided to invest big in a new squad with hopes of challenging Anexis and Dignitas for the top place in the UK scene.

Craig "onscreen" Shannon is the only player who remains from the previous lineup, being joined by former mouz.uk member Pete "pt" Wright and ex-Dignitas player Elliot "wez" Welsh.

Marc "Mangiacapra" Mangiacapra, who led 4Kings' 1.6 division during the early days of competitive gaming, is now back in action after a highly-successful stint in CS:Source which included the CGS title with the Birmingham Salvo team led by Sam "RattlesnK" Gawn.

The players have moved into a gaming house in Manchester

The last player on the team is David "deus" Kinnaird, who will surely bring some insane aim and reflexes to the fold after playing QuakeLive for teams like fnatic and Reason-Gaming.

Meanwhile, 4Kings have announced that in order to provide the appropriate training environment to the players, they have decided to open up a gaming house in Manchester where the players will be living.

4Kings' CS:GO roster is the following:

yeap, but the few matches he played, he was really insane i remember a match he dropped 30 frags and 27 or 26 were headshots. he sucked at spraying but actually he didn't sprayed that much cause he could simply onebullet everyone around.

Sadly i Believe the hating onto onscreen is linked with him streaming some in the begining of the CS: GO scene. Mb it looked not so "uber skilled" and ppls like to state an opinion based from that.. and the bashing is On. And yeah, he played source to yeah? mostly this site isnt giving any sourcers respect what so ever.. Mucho GL to this legendary orga as it would be great for the CS scene in general (not only GB) with a toptier team in famous 4Kings. Nothing beats oldschoolers - its a respect thing on behalf of pioneers, at least i feel so.

Seems odd to give these guys a gaming house when they havnt even played together yet, some of which I'm sure hardly played cs go. Picking up players who were hot 10yrs - 5yrs ago on different games. Doesn't mean their gonna be any good In today's cs on a new game. Feel other uk players/teams would have been a much better choice but time will tell as you never know it could work.

4Kings Grubby is the most alltime important Icon/Legend for their franchise, its one of the heaviest eSport names in history idd. But what else did 4Kings really executed exept participating amongst pioneer rulers such as NiP back in the Days(?) Dont overreact guys(like "dont ruin your legacy etc") - its not GOD comming back, but still glads me to see some fragments of Counter-Strike's roots aiming for a serious comeback. GL HF! edit: yeah they prolly had some Quake and PK aswell for example, but nothing compares to legacy of 4K^Grubby, Its a famous orga but 4Kings CS section isnt by any means some kind of GOD in CS so take it a bit easy, just imo..

no. 4K aren't paying for the house anymore, players are still living there paying for it out of their own pockets I believe. Not sure if they're playing CS either.
