VG thrash k1ck to top Group A

VeryGames have moved to the top of Group A following a comfortable 16-6 victory over k1ck.

The two teams were sharing the group's summit after winning their respective first two games, but this ended up being a one-sided affair as VeryGames were on cruise control for most of the encounter.

But it was k1ck who began the brighter, the Portuguese side having taken the lead following a rush onto the A site in the pistol round. After taking the score to 3-0, k1ck went for another A rush in the gun round, but this time VeryGames knew what was coming and retook the site after the bomb had been planted.

Powered by Kenny "kennyS" Schrub and Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom, who once again showed why he is regarded as one of the best aimers in the game, VeryGames then took control of the game and secured 11 rounds in a row. k1ck then managed to win the last round of the first half, but the 11-4 scoreline at the break reflected the distance between the two sides.

VeryGames came out strongly in the second half and enlarged their lead after winning the first four rounds. k1ck found a lifeline when they took two rounds in a row, but a four-kill round from Nathan "NBK" Schmitt ruined their plans as VeryGames ran out 16-6 victors.
