WW over fm.TOXiC, Reason tie fnatic

The third round of group matches at Mad Catz Birmingham has come to an end, with Western Wolves moving past fm-eSports TOXiC, while fnatic were held to a draw by Reason Gaming.

With Western Wolves and fm.TOXiC sharing the top of Group B prior to the third round, both sides knew that this game would be a must-win as it could well prove to be decisive in the race for a spot in the semi-finals.

It was fm.TOXiC who started out the brighter after winning the pistol round, but they could not stop Wolves' effective eco rush in the following round. The Copenhagen Games runners-up then took control of the game, taking the score to 5-1, before seeing a good reponse from fm.TOXiC, who restored parity on five rounds. Wolves then upped the pace and went into the break with a 9-6 lead.

Wolves alone at Group B summit

Now playing on the highly-favoured CT side, Wolves showed the level of form which has made them one of the game's strongest sides and conceded just one round as they comfortably ran out 16-7 victors.

In the other group match, fnatic were surprisingly held to a draw by Reason Gaming, a result which confirms the poor moment of form that the Danish team are going through. fnatic were even down 13-7 at one point, but their experience prevailed as they turned the levelled the game in the very last round.

fnatic, who lost to fm.TOXiC in their first match in Birmingham, now lie in fourth position in Group B, level on points with Reason, as they prepare to take on Dignitas.

Looks like I wasn't wrong thinking that fnatic were just lucky at CPH Games to go that far and their level is much lower. Now I see.

fnatic should follow ceh9's words "Weak team change players, strong boys stick together & practice hard"

That means they should change their lineup, in hope to become a strong teams, because now they are far away from being a strong CS:GO team.

Did lurppis or Thorin say in their podcast that Fnatic hasn't shown anything yet and that they're overrated? Anyways, they are right. :]

I love how because f0rest and gtr happen to have been former 1.6 professionals, idiots on hltv think that's evidence enough to post things like "1.6ers>sourcers". It's pretty clear that f0rest and gtr are heads and shoulders above every other 1.6 player, and that there are source players who shit all day long on former 1.6 pros. Too many dumb people on hltv with their third world education and failed attempts at taking ESL.

Youre right. Every one who thinks that the average 1.6er is better than the sourcer, is trash.
