$15,000 confirmed at DH Bucharest

The DreamHack Bucharest organisers have announced that this year's event will feature a $15,000 prize pool.

Earlier in the month, HLTV.org exclusively revealed that PGL, the Romanian DreamHack partner, had agreed to stage a CS:GO tournament featuring 16 teams at the 2013 edition of the event.

It has now been confirmed that the tournament, which will be held on September 14th-15th at the Polyvalent Hall, will feature a prize purse amounting to $15,000 (approximately €11,460).

The prize breakdown has not yet been determined, but the tournament is expected to draw the attention of most of Europe's big-name teams.

A total of 16 teams will be in attendance, four of whom will hail from Romania, while the remaining 12 will be invited by the organisation.

To find out all the details about DreamHack Bucharest, head over to the event's website.

Doubt it. Im, for example, is skeptical about the game,. but would love to be proven wrong. Raising the prize is a gamble for this game and I hope it will pay off

You do realize that the money come from sponsors and as long as 25000 viewers is considered a high number, the prize money is actually quite resonable ?

From the pov of the organizers that is, i'm talking as a fan, if i was an organizer and the game only had 25k viewers i wouldn't even bother including it.

Like at CPH Games the teams from Denmark were at top of the list. They had at least 10 teams and most of them did nothing. It's true we don't have big teams in Romania but still it's a Romanian tournament. 4 out of 16 is not that much.

The only team who was invited for cph games (from denmark) was WW. :-) Rest qualified through the BYOC Tournament. And btw: 1. Ninjas in Pyjamas 2. Western Wolves - DK 3. Virtus.pro 4. Team VeryGames 5-6. fnatic - DK 5-6. Quantic 7-8. mousesports 7-8. Curse.na 9-12. Lemondogs 9-12. Epsilon eSport 9-12. Temp.no 9-12. Anexis eSport 13-16. PUBLICLIR 13-16. ESC Gaming 13-16. plan-B 13-16. Xapso - DK 17-24. ALTERNATE 17-24. EYES ON U - DK 17-24. FM!TOXiC - DK 17-24. ServerForge - DK 17-24. Copenhagen Wolves - DK 17-24. n!faculty 17-24. KILLERFISH - DK 17-24. Curse.eu 25-32. LowLandLions 25-32. Reason Gaming 25-32. myRevenge - DK 25-32. Nostalgie 25-32. Natus Vincere 25-32. 3DMAX 25-32. BX3 Only one of the danish teams finished in the last spot, at CPH Games. 2 teams in top6, and top24 teams finishing together/over teams like: 3DMAX Reason Gaming Natus Vincere n!faculty ALTERNATE I think they should host a BYOC like CPH Games or Dreamhack Winter. Instead of having shitty romanian teams in the main tournament. - IMO

You can try and make it as danish as you can. Natus Vincere retired, Reason Gaming is not that big of a team, 3DMAX is disbanded, the german teams played a shitty game at that lan. Dreamhack Romania is not that big of a tournament like CPH Games, and even if it had qualifications online I bet that most of the scandinavian teams wouldn't have the resources to come to Romania on their own costs, like it was last year. And to be honest fnatic is not the 5-8th place in the world right now. And moddi is not the same player as it was in 1.6. Fnatic had a favorable lane to that place, they didn't had any real battles on that tournament. They have luck with X9p and Trace, the rest are pretty lame players in CS:GO.

and btw plan-B 13-16th place is as well a Danish team. BX3 as well a Danish team. plan-B they did beat 1 team in the whole tournament from what I recall they do deserve the 13-16 place. Like WW had to beat all kinds of low level skill teams in the first part of the tournament and then after they were warmed up after 9 hours of play they did beat VP in b01. They really did deserved the second place in that tournament, that's why they are getting demolished right now in the Danish division by Xapso (fnatic as well). Because they are the second best team in the world as they quoted a

plan-B and BX3 is norwegian teams :-) The danish and norwegian flag are smiliar, but not the same. But if you look at the results the danish teams didn't perfom that bad :-)
