The following action comes from the CS 1.6 tournament of the 13th ESEA Invite season in Dallas.

After more than four months with no 1.6 highlight we see Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen in his first match-up against the Americans from Mobility-Gaming with a successful ramp push where he scores four headshots.

The final between Netcode Illuminati and the winner of mouseSpaz vs Underdogs is set to be played today at around 19 CET.

There are people switching to CS:GO from other games than 1.6 man. I agree that something like 50% of the players must be from older CS (maybe more, maybe less), either Source or 1.6, but as Source did, a new game always brings out new players who didn't play CS before.

It is. Just as it was significant enough when CS:Source came out. A new game with decent graphics always brings out new players. That's just how the video game market works. Thinking a gaming community just stay still is delusional. There are every day people quitting CS and people starting CS. And people starting CS will be much more attracted by CS:GO.

Dude, if you don't want to discuss just say it instead of throwing any crazy idea that comes to your mind. My point is : People wanting to play CS right now would rather choose CS:GO over the other CS games. Hence why there is a high chance that a comfortable amount of players are people coming from different games than from 1.6 or Source. So this number may be not that great in comparison to people wanting to play COD or BF3, but compared to people wanting to make the switch from older CS, I'd say it's far from very slim. 1.6 is the easiest cs, you dont even need to have good aim cause you just wait till the guy is behind a box and unload a full clip into him with your para. CS:GO #1 master race and you can tell its better game because cs:GO has Swag-7

obviously you are as stupid as you sound boy! 1.6 gameplay is perfect,it is true that frags are easier in 1.6 than go but that what made it so dificult;because when two good teams clash,players have to get instant headshots or they will probably die,thats what made 1.6 last for nearly 2 decades,the skill required is huge and if you ever played against good teams you would have noticed that you can shove you aim deep in your ass when you get flashed and killed before you get a chance to aim at anything. ps:valve should power up the ak and m4 so we could at least get some fun back,because right now sprayers are infesting the scene with those smgs(the noobs arsenal)which are too accurate and powerfull in my taste.

im 1.6 aim map specialist, no source, minimal csgo. i would take the bet, but we wont play probably. except from bragging, my point is that in my experience allways you learn new ways to trick your opponent, and big part is because goldsource allows perfect moves

Lurppis, uggliest highlight ever at "Pro-Level". How dare you guys upload this hidious clip? #1 off, the opponents seems really low and disorented, going out 1 and 1 at ramp and rest just fucks around in lobby. #2 I don't know what the radio guy was looking at, althoguh he might have been flashed by lurppis flash but I doubt it, it exploded way earlier in "cod". Or he maybe acually pushed ramp and fall back when he got white by the flash. #3. What the heck did the guy do in squeeky room do, he should have known from the start that lurppis is pushing lobby and get ready for it, instead he switches or whatever he does. Overall, really bad T-tactic by pods, looks like PN tactic where there is no IGL and all of them do whatever they feel like to do.
