Quantic Gaming have been reduced to a three-man roster following the departures of Kory "semphis" Friesen and Spencer "hiko" Martin.

The news comes as a huge surprise as Quantic were the losing finalists at the ESEA Finals, going all the way from the first round of the Lower Bracket to the tournament decider, in which they fell short against Ninjas in Pyjamas.

With the new ESEA season just around the corner, it seems that internal problems have taken quite a toll on the team, resulting in the departures of longtime members Kory "semphis" Friesen and Spencer "hiko" Martin.

These two players have already found a new team, called Lurking and Working, together with former Area51 team-mate Sean "sgares" Gares and ex-Dynamic duo Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert and Braxton "swag" Pierce.

Quantic in shambles after Dallas

The last player on Lurking and Working's ESEA roster is Finnish veteran Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen, who recently won the ESEA Finals in CS:1.6 with Netcode Illuminati.

Quantic are now in the market for two new players before the start of the new ESEA season, on May 12th.

dynamic came back with ex3D members ksharp(1.5,1.6) and nicknOit(css), curse.NA acquired 1 madfragging caller and the second best awper at the states(adren and azk), semphis made an entire 1.6 team from scratch and frod,storm,moe are around the corner for a comeback. also sunman plays a lot of csgo and so does irukandji and other players. cant be more excited about the NA scene right now :D

most of the changes are lame imho and these guys who are left with Quantic are going to destroy another team's lineup to improve theirs too much chaos and I bet only 1 or 2 lineups would be able to handle top euro teams.

at the current state of the team. CurseNA is the best team around for sure and it will be at the top for the upcoming months. but knowing the players that are coming back we will have a challenging year for sure. especially dynamic team will need at least half a year to play decent

completely agree, this is terrible for the NA scene. Perhaps the best thing about quantic was how long they had been playing for ... semphis/hiko they mustn't think much of their teammates if they are this willing to dog them for a couple of free agent stars... and one of them is dazed... seems such a weird decision. lurrpis is fair enough, why wouldnt you want him contributing in anyway possible on a team? hes worked with n0thing before aswell i believe, and n0thing is also calling for this team? all teams need a 6th for ladders/comps, situation always arises where someone ends up not being avail (though i question the effectiveness of lurrpis subbing over others) i thought sgares was only playing local stuff due to work? eh, unless dazed/frozt/tck are getting bored with csgo, must be more backstory to this, i demand interviews!!

no idea why sgares wasn't playing, he did very well at ESWC. I agree with you on everything. Might be the case of dazed and the others being dicks, or just that n0thing, sgares, semphis and the others value their friendship more.

I feel kind of disappointed by this news. I really expected Quantic to represent NA against Europe and challenge them a lot in the upcoming events. Well, unless there is a magical turn of events, I don't see that happening anymore for them.

2 Best players in quantic was Hiko and Frozt. If I was the one to make changes i would kick out semphis who didn't play that good as other his teamates and put nothing in his place. New team may be new strongest team in US but Semphis isn't best and we can't forget what ownage did Frozt show us at turnament. I'm more interesed about who will join Quantic or do will quantic dissband and we see changes in some other US teams. As a polish guy i did support ESC but I think it was verry good thing to happen that US team was in final because developing US Cs:go community is critical to cs:go becoming huge eSport game.

For those of you who find the lurppis thing funny , let me remind you something: - lurppis was part of the best lineups "EG" ever had, and this team managed to scare lots of top european teams and also beat them and they were one of the best teams at their time. - lurppis was part of ROCCAT / 69N-28E , the most successful Finnish team in history So yes, he is a douchebag .. bad attitude etc. but he's a damn good ingame leader and player - so there's nothing to laugh at.

I hope whatever inner turmoil was impossible to resolve. NA's most promising team is in shambles because of it. It's nice to see sgares decided to play at the top level again though.
