FlipiN retires; Kairi joins x6tence
The Spanish scene has been rocked by the news that x6tence veteran Antonio "FlipiN" Rivas has retired from gaming.
Rivas had returned to activity in late 2011 to put together a new lineup for x6tence, but found success very hard to come by in the last months of competitive CS: 1.6, as the team crashed out of GameGune in the group stage.
In September, x6tence switched to CS:GO in time for DreamHack Valencia, where they finished 3rd-4th, but since that tournament the team have only made headlines when they have changed players.
The final straw came in February, when the Spanish giants bowed out of the EPS league in the quarter-finals following a 2-0 defeat to OverGaming, who would go on to finish in second place.

FlipiN calls time on gaming career
Rivas has now decided to put an end to a career that reached its peak in 2006, when he won the Samsung European Championship, in CS:Source.
Other achievements in Rivas' career include winning GameGune in 2006 and finishing 5th-8th at WEG III and sixth at ESWC 2006.
"This was a decision that I had to make sooner or later," Rivas told x6tence's website. "I can safely say that eSports have given me almost everything, the same way that I gave my all for them, my team-mates and teams.
"However, my job and my projects make it impossible for me to give 100 per cent. I have always said that I would to what was best for the team, and I think this is the best for the team to be able to practice more hours.
"I have decided to become the manager of the CS:GO team, but I want to be a different kind of manager.
"I will keep working with the team and helping them with my experience as a player. I will do everything I can so that the players can play better."
To replace Rivas, x6tence turned to David "Kairi" de Miguel, who was last seen playing for the Karont3 side who won Copenhagen Games' B tournament last month.
After the event in the Danish capital, the team sought a new organisation to represent, but the failure to find one resulted in the players going their separate ways.
x6tence now have the following lineup:
Omar "arki" Chakkor
Victor "xikii" García
Hélder "coachi" Sancho
Jesús "oFF" Castillo García
David "Kairi" de Miguel
