A new top Finnish team called solemn has seen the light of day, featuring familiar faces from the 1.6 and CS:Source scenes.

Following the disbandment of Hawks earlier in the month, we saw Aleksi "allu" Jalli linking up with myDGB.net, who have been in impressive form in recent tournaments, both domestic and international.

With the Solid Gaming LAN just days away, we have now witnessed the birth of a new team, led by former Hawks duo Jesse "KHRN" Grandell and Timo "reflex" Rintala.

Joining up with them will be Timi "aslak" Verkkoperä, who has been out of action since being released by Curse in February, Samuel "God" Räsänen, a former member of WinFakt, and ex-ROCCAT member Taneli "disturbed" Veikkola, who returns to activity after serving in the Finnish army.

"I was asked by reflex and KHRN to join this team, two weeks after I came home from military service," Veikkola told HLTV.org.

"We needed a solid AWPer, so aslak was a our number-one choice, and lastly a solid rifler, so we picked God.

"It feels great to be back in CS scene after a lengthy break, especially with a team like this. Our goals are to put Finnish Counter-Strike back to the top and to challenge the very top of the game.

"We will be attending Solid Gaming in Helsinki from June 6th to 9th and we are open to playing in online tournaments. For now, we will just keep practicing hard to achieve our goals."

Looks like a pretty good line-up. The more competition the better really, especially nice to see some up-and-coming top teams from nations that were lacking (H2K, Cplay, k1ck, this lot etc)
