Team ALTERNATE have dispensed with the services of Manuel "mnL" Oberlein, the German player has revealed.

The change comes as a surprise as ALTERNATE had undergone roster changes just two weeks ago, having brought in Christian "crisby" Schmitt from dotpiXels as a replacement for Christian "Rak" Hermenau-Puhlvers.

ALTERNATE's fortunes have not improved since that move, though, with an 18-21 defeat to myDGB.net in the second round of the RaidCall EMS One Cup #2 having been followed by a 16-14 loss to ENTiTY in StarSeries VI.

As a result, the team have decided to fine-tune the squad once again by letting go of Manuel "mnL" Oberlein, a decision that caught the German player by surprise.

"Today, I was surprisingly replaced," he told 99damage.de. "Before the [EPS] finals, we had several discussions about whether a change was in the making, and the answer was always negative.

"About one-and-a-half weeks ago, I asked again if we were going to make a change, and I was told that we were not.

"Now, when all the options to find a team and an organisation are gone, I have been told that I will be replaced.

"This move was unfortunately made by a person that I held in high regard. I am extremely disappointed with that person.

"I have always worked on improving as a player and improving our tactics, and I have invested a lot of time in our game.

"Finally, I would like to say: the guys around Benny (qk-Mantis) and asmo have what it takes, and they are Germany's biggest hope in the international scene..."

According to 99damage.de, ALTERNATE have set their sights on dotpiXels' Tizian "tiziaN" Feldbusch, but the German team have so far stayed silent on the matter.

Manuel "SolEk" Zeindler

No they don't, this isn't source. Only reason they got any good was because they cheated so dam much at source and knew all the bang spots and all that. Germans will never win any international lan event. If they do i will eat a ghost pepper.

retard much? there were many German CS 1.6 teams that were successful on international LAN tournaments although the last 2 years were very disappointing, Germany still made it on the 4th place in the all-time ranking (and Germany was always in the TOP5 except 2012): hltv.org/?pageid=135&userid=62854&blogid.. this "Germans are onliner" bullshit really annoys me.

well tiziaN is better than mnL, but the team will be too weak anyway they should also pick up LEGIJA. IMO he's the most underrated German player right now

yeah but he lives in Germany and speaks German so he is a potential player for a German team did you watch the EPS Finals? He was crucial for his team and one of the main reasons why they made it to the final against mouz. he's a good AWP player, a thing that became very very rare in Germany

LEGIJA is top notch, tabsen seems to be more passive where LEGIJA is making entry frags etc. btw only reason i watch German teams is becuse of Knochen, so funny imo
