k1ck win Fnac LAN Party

k1ck eSports Club have been crowned champions of the Fnac LAN Party following a 2-0 victory over Rasta Gaming in the Grand Final.

Held inside the headquarters of the Cavalry Regiment number 6 in Braga, the 2013 edition of the Fnac LAN Party featured tournaments in several different games, including a CS:GO competition with SteelSeries prizes.

A total of 13 teams took part in the CS:GO tournament, with k1ck, who are competing in Fnatic Fragout, SLTV StarSeries and ESEA Invite, strongly tipped to come out on top.

However, k1ck were stunned by a well-organised Rasta Gaming team, who were playing Rui "emotioN" Sousa and Mário "Fyx" Rodrigues as stand-ins, and were sent to the Lower Bracket following a 2-1 defeat.

k1ck then defeated madjick in the consolidation final to earn a rematch against Rasta Gaming, who needed to take just one map to win the tournament as they were coming from the Upper Bracket.

But Rasta squandered such a lead, allowing k1ck to win both maps (16-7 on de_dust2_se, 16-11 on de_inferno_se) to add yet another title to their cabinet.

Nice to see Rasta Gaming are playing nicely and defeated k1ck actually though for what I saw k1ck didn't take any team seriously till they got defeated xD

i'd guess every top portugal player has like 6x of every steelseries stuff (mouse, headset...) which they've won in local tournaments.

indeed. The LAN entrance was 17euros and the prizes were super good. The LoL 1st place price was 5x 900€ laptop

I'd have been so annoyed if I was Rasta. Won the pistol in the 2nd half of inferno after winning the first half 9-6 as T, then the server changed map to office and they restarted the half rather than going from a restore file :(

for me its an manipulated result ... K1ck are losing in the 2nd map and the server change the mapa for office ... result of this ... the 2nd halft start another time and K1ck, that are whit no money and rasta are winning. whit this k1ck win the game ...

no.. rasta won the pistol round and made it 10-6 but k1ck won eco ( 10-7 ) so k1ck were with money and rasta no..

Wrong. Before the map changing, RASTA won the pistol, and yes, k1ck won the eco afterwards (10-7) but the next round, RASTA won their eco-round which made the game 11-7 and K1CK members with 2000$, which would ahve been a 12-7... But whatever.
