Refuse in trouble for DH Summer

Refuse have confirmed to HLTV.org that they are at risk of not attending DreamHack Summer later this week.

The Swedish team qualified for the tournament in Jönköping via the Inferno Online qualifier, which they won following a 2-1 victory over Epsilon in the final.

However, just days before DreamHack, Alexander "SKYTTEN" Carlsson's side have learned that Refuse will not be able to send them to the event.

The former ESG! team are now desperate to find an organisation who is willing to send the players to Jönköping, where they will take part in DreamHack's CS:GO tournament and in the Swedish Championship.

All interested organisations can contact the team via e-mail at [email protected].

The team's lineup is the following:

Sweden Daniel "rape" Börzsönyi
Sweden Danniel "dalito" Moralés
Sweden Erik "marvel" Janbell
Sweden Maikel "eksem" Bill
Sweden Alexander "SKYTTEN" Carlsson

The team didn't play the qualifier. It was just eksem & SKYTTEN (?) who played it as a mix. But they decided to go to DH with their team, not the mix that won.

Worth mentioning is that you don't need to pay for a hotel, you can sleep in Elmia where DH is held. So a cheap train trip + food should really not be that expensive.

Will probably cost them at most 40-50 euro per person to travel to Jönköping. And they can sleep on DH like all the others, no need for a hotel if they don't have the money for it.

"Brits are saucers". What? Why are you even talking about Source players as if they're a different species. Brits have all right to be on this site instead of cadred. Also, he has a valid point that nobody would like to have a guy called 'RAPE' to represent their organisation. Sounds very childish and unprofessional.

Calm down man I wasn't too serious EDIT: And BTW, if rape had given the change he could have very well been as hot as fe. MODDII, to be a big name. If rape was playing in NiP right now no orga would give a flying fuck if his nick was rape, they would pick him. EDIT2: I have been to this site regularly for over 10 years. I recognize the cadred, trust me

The "rape" name is accually wrong spelled. His nick name should have been "rapé" whitch it is a snus brand in sweden. But in 1.6 you cant use "é" so he used the closest to it and made it "rape".

I just can't stand reading the clueless comments, why would you comment with total nonsense if you have no knowledge about anything about this certain topic? If the 3 players of ESG gave up their position in order to let a Team play on Dreamhack Main, they are allowed to do it. We're still trying to fix the issue, it's not about not paying but paying not in time because of some bank transfer issue happened. Thanks to HLTV for helping the guys. Hopefully they will represent Refuse on DH, but until we haven't fixed the issue, any org feel free to contact the team. Regards,

As many have said above me... pay for the fcking trip urselfs. Most of the meaningless teams have to pay for thise things themselves. After u do good enough on lan with ur team ull get some decent sponsors.

Agree. I do not support the it's cheap claims from half of the people above because they're being ignorant, but the truth is that they haven't achieved much, so it's not like they are yet deserving of an organization that's gonna pay them stuff.

Ye its like getting a reward in advance.. doest make sense yo me imo. I dont know if its cheap either. DH itself isnt cheap for 5 players is it? Or is that what they won through the qualifiers?

Are they serious? It's gonna cost them around 200 euros for a roundtrip for all five players.

why would someone sponsor these? the only reason they managed to win the qualifier was because olofm was dropping a 20bomb every game and now they've dropped him.

yet it's one of the most expensive places to travel in europe? Rail card would've surely helped them, but still, it's not cheap.

The truth is if you don't want to even pay your own cost to the LANs your attending (being a new team). Then why even bother playing competitively. I mean where is the spritit if you dont want to risk a single coin?!? There is hundreds of ways to get to DH, it's not like you need to arrive in a cab or anything. I remember having a swimming team back in the day, we had almost no money, but we all jammed in to one buddies car and drove down there our selves with all the gear. It felt cheap and it was not comfy at all, but it's amazing what you can do IF you only want to! So c'mon guys, pack the bags and roll over there in your neighbors old car or something!

You dont deserve a sponsor if you wont even put the effort in to attend an event in your own country.

It's the same like in Poland. Good teams don't want to pay entry fee, travel, accommodation and sometimes they want money for food or % etc.

They are unsure of they gameplay thats why they need the sponsor. No sponsor = we go there and lose a lot of money. Sponsor = we go there and will not lose a lot of money. Sad to write but I think they will not come out from the group. Anyway good luck in finding a sponsor.
