DreamHack Summer groups released

Groups have been drawn for the DreamHack Summer 2013 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament taking place on June 15-17th in Jönköping, Sweden.

DreamHack Summer 2013's 200,000 SEK (~$30,500) tournament will kick off on Saturday evening at 18:00 and the groups have now been drawn, giving each team some time to prepare for their opponents.

Pimp's WW will go up against NiP in group A

DreamHack will be using the GSL-type group stage format outlined in this article, which means each group will feature just five matches total as they will be played out as a miniature double elimination bracket.

The two teams that qualify from the on-site BYOC qualifier will be randomly drawn into groups C and D. HLTV.org will release our traditional viewer's guide as well as a full preview in the coming days.

The first match of Group B is CPH vs /10/ Now /10/ only played a Single Lan game which they won 16-14 and on the other hand CPH has some Lan experience. So, yeah anything can happen.

I would laugh so damn hard if VG is drawn into Group D then severely beaten by LDLC. Hopefully WW, Cph Wolves, and /10/, and ESC play well. It's boring to see NiP take the whole thing again, and I still feel bad for the ESC guys.

Group A will obviously end with NiP 1st and WW 2nd, even though I'm not going to be surprised if WW ends up 1st and NiP 2nd in a really close and hard match. That'd be actually cool to see. Group B I'd like Curse & /10/ to actually come out on top of the group or Epsilon & /10/. Interesting group with 50/50% chance for everyone in it even though I do think CPH's got all the chances to come out on top. Group C If no surprises - then VP should come out on top of ESC in a possible close match and, therefore, top the group with the 1st place while ESC would be 2nd even though the BYOC is still unknown, but whoever is going to qualify should not be a big of a deal for both ESC and VP as I could guess, but I wouldn't be surprised if ESC beats VP and ends up 1st and VP 2nd in the group. Group DWell, might be interesting to watch who ends up on top out of these 3 teams: fnatic, Alternate and BYOC, but other than that if all goes well then my guess is LDLC should claim the well deserved 1st place in the group while fnatic should be able to claim 2nd, but once again, I'm not going to be really surprised if Alternate beats fnatic to claim 2nd palce in the group. The 4th participant is still unknown though just like in group C, but I do not think whoever it is going to be will be able to bring a lot of damage in to come out of the group, but we'll see. gl to teams! ...looking forward to seeing all this craziness, so happy it is my vacation and no work for a week and will finally be able to watch a full event coverage :) gogogo!

Don't undersestimate /10/. They gave NiP a great game the other day and have beaten virtus, ESC, k1ck and Na'Vi recently. Hope the BYOC winners are decent else fnatic/LDLC will walk group B and Virtus/ESC probably the same in group C (though RAIDERS might put up a fight against ESC). NiP to be boring and win it all without losing a game again. They might drop 1 map to LDLC or Virtus or someone decent but that's it.

Don't overhype /10/. They havent played on lan yet and german online scene was always way stronger than their offline performances. Personally i think /10/ will be nothing but the new n!, great results online, the worst team ever on lan. I hope im wrong since i like some of /10/ players, but lets see.
