VeryGames move to EMS semi-final

VeryGames have overcome Copenhagen Wolves 2-1 (16-12 de_dust2_se, 12-16 de_nuke_se, 16-6 de_mirage_go) at RaidCall EMS One Summer 2013 finals to move on to semi-finals versus fnatic.

VeryGames opened up de_dust2_se with a pistol round win, and quickly won the next four rounds as well, going up 5-0 before the Wolves could reply. From there on out it was a one-sided affair though, as VG found themselves trailing 7-8 at half.

Richard "shoxie" Papillon's three Glock kills in the B site won his team the pistol round, and Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom bailed VG out with just 16hp on the next round after three of his teammates were taken down by Søren "socN" Falke.

Trailing 8-10, Copenhagen Wolves' Henrik "FeTiSh" Christensen scored four M4A4 kills in the middle. Next rounds saw French captain Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans' open up the same area with some AK47 kills of his own, and VG went up 13-9.

The Wolves attempted a comeback as they won a flawless save round next, followed up by Falke's three AK47 headshots from the counter-terrorist spawn area, but ultimately VG were too strong and won the opening map 16-12.

dupreeh & co took a map from VeryGames with two stand-ins

The Frenchmen contrinued strong play on their terrorist pistol round of de_nuke_se, but wound up losing a save round right after, thus allowing Cph Wolves to sneak back into the game.

First half of de_nuke_se was very back and forth with a couple of save rounds being lost by each team, but in the end the Wolves led 8-7 with Christensen topping the scoreboard for the counter-terrorists.

Second half was fairly close as well, as both teams traded rounds all the way up until the end when the Danes finally pulled ahead, closing de_nuke_se with a 16-12 score line.

If the first two maps were close, the third was nothing alike. VeryGames went down 0-3 to start de_mirage_go as counter-terrorists, but from there on out it was all Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux and company.

VeryGames celebrating their quarter-final win in Cologne

The Frenchmen won seven straight rounds before the Wolves could reply with a bombsite A attack. The Wolves had some close rounds in the A bombsite, but VeryGames' retakes always worked out.

Droolans' men managed to win the last four rounds as well, setting an 11-4 lead at half despite starting at 0-3 deficit, a strong showing led by Dubourdeaux who put up eighteen kills.

VeryGames won their terrorist side pistol round, and although CW won the third round buy with FAMASes and stayed in the game for a bit longer, they were quickly overwhelmed for a 6-16 loss, 1-2 overall.

Rating is influenced by how well your teammates are doing, you might wanna read about it before you complain. Also they played 3 maps

VG was rubbish in the first 2 maps, they played shit. They were playing like a pug team. They lost almost every pistol round only to lose the next anti-eco. One of the weirdest matches I've watched, don't know what to think of VG. After watching the 3rd map it looked like they were just fooling around in the beginning. Maybe they're holding something back.

because "rating" favours multiple frags. and multiple frags usually happens in anti-eco rounds. it's much better to have someone killing one each and every round, then acing anti-eco.
