FeTiSh: "MODDII will join Epsilon"

In the aftermath of Copenhagen Wolves' exit from the RaidCall EMS One Finals, Henrik "FeTiSh" Christensen stated that Andreas "MODDII" Fridh is on his way to Epsilon.

fnatic have been linked with roster changes in recent days after pulling out of the StarSeries finals in order to "find a consistent strategy for the future".

In Cologne, the Danish team made it to the semi-finals following a convincing 2-0 victory over LDLC.com in the first round, but then fell short against VeryGames, who would go on to win the tournament.

MODDII on his way out of fnatic?

Copenhagen Wolves are going through some problems of their own after losing René "cajunb" Borg and Bo "wantz" Vestergaard in the run-up to the EMS One Finals, but "FeTiSh" made it clear the team will not be raiding their Danish rivals, while revealing that Andreas "MODDII" Fridh has already chosen his next destination.

"I know that MODDII will join Epsilon," he told readmore.de "That is the biggest rumour at the moment.

"We have not taken a look at fnatic so far. It is not an option to fill our gaps with eventually ex-players from fnatic."

The Swedish player made the transition with the rest of the fnatic 1.6 crew at the end of 2012. He stepped down from the team in December, following a series of mixed results, only to return three months later, together with Lasse "stingeR" Midtstue, who has already been replaced.

Epsilon are on the lookout for a new fifth player after parting company with André "berg" Kjellberg last month.

The Swedish team finished runners-up to Ninjas in Pyjamas at DreamHack Summer with H2k Gaming's Martin "cENTRYZ" Brandal as a stand-in, but it is still unclear whether the Norwegian talent will join them on a permanent basis.

The issue is, they signalled changes before EMS, which meant they essentially became a mix team and played without the added pressure of doing well. Meant that they could do better in a way. (Mental aspect) :)

You do not understand how a big organization like fnatic works... They demand results and a return on their investment. This lineup just isnt giving them what they want.

"That is the biggest rumour at the moment." HLTV writing this of as if it had already happend, put a pro name underneath that statement and it's valid. I'm not saying it's not true, but it's far from reality as this is just the statement of someone saying that there's a rumour going around.

"I know that MODDII will join Epsilon" Nowhere in the piece do I write that it's a done deal. The author of the quote is identified and it's a legitimate quote.

I didn't mean to be disrespectfull in any way, even tough my opening was kind of crude. I feel that the quote is translated and feels wrong in english. "So I know that MODDII will go to Epsilon. This is the hottest rumor currently. " First he states that it's a done deal only to point out in the second sentence it's a rumor, kinda weird. Anywho, I don't doubt your source nor its legitimacy.

If it's true it could lead to a very strong Epsilon, depending on how MODDII will fit in. I'm wondering who could come up to replace him in fnatic. It sure doesn't look good for them either way, but maybe they needed a change after all. They were a top10 team for a while now, but struggled to step up their game. GL to them.

I am not sure if he will fit in Epsilon. Anyway, if Fnatic will change players AGAIN I will stop supporting them. They don't even get a chance to improve or what? I think trace played really good at the EMS finals, xypex was amazing, moddi and karrigan played decent aswell. Friis didn't had his best tournament, but he still is an amazing talented player imo. If moddi will leave fnatic they should probably contact cajunb?

Does Epsilon even have enough money to get Moddii? And do they have enough money to pay him a salary, cause im not sure if the guys in Epsilon are getting paid, lol. Also the best move for everyone involved in this rumour would be: Fnatic kicks their lineup (except moddii) and recruits Epsilon

Im pretty sure they will never do that, fnatic are known for keeping a core and changing like 2-3 players in this case only xyp9x and moddii are on the level that fnatic are looking for.

no, they need a good awper :) I think it's a common misconception to call device main awper. He's more like a joker. He can pick it up if he feels like it - and do good. But coloN is specialized with the awp and better than device with it. Device is an all-arounder, and therefore they would need an awper to be a great team - hence +colon - moddi.

This comment was posted on Cadred, but it is, one of the best comments I've read concerning this topic: plasm | 1 hour ago [2013-07-01 15:52:28] If fnatic really don't stick together it would be nice to see Xyp9x join Copenhagen Wolves alongside with socN, they would make such a sick team! I'm not saying it will going to happen, but in theory, it'd be a hell of a team!

It is possible that Moddi chooses talented players over a possible better salary of Fnatic, as indeed he was a long term and pretty much captain of the FNATIC csgo team, so most likely he was paid well better then the others. But then relatively speaking he will make alot more money with Epsilon in a national swedish team in national swedish tournaments. (even if he was not salaried) But thats not the case, as epsilon players are salaried. Epsilon (+2 LD) just won another lan this weekend, coming home with 5 expensive pcs, and a Dreahack winter package. Found the news on fragbite. I can see Fnatic picking up a allstar Danish team spread between CPH/WW who are both in pretty bad shape. good news for the scene, as the current Fnatic team wasnt ever going to win...and Epsilon seem to be stuck as well.
