fnatic confirm MODDII departure
fnatic have announced on their official website that Andreas "MODDII" Fridh has left their CS:GO squad.
HLTV.org had already reported last week that changes were likely to happen in fnatic after the Danish team surprisingly decided to pull out of the SLTV StarSeries finals in Kiev.
Henrik "FeTiSh" Christensen revealed at the weekend that Andreas "MODDII" Fridh was on the brink of joining Epsilon, despite fnatic reaching the semi-finals of the RaidCall EMS One Finals following a 2-0 victory over LDLC.com.

MODDII officially departs fnatic
fnatic have now confirmed that they have parted company with the Swedish player, stressing that the move happened "on good terms" and that there is no bad blood between the two.
"As in all fairy tales, there is always an end, is that I will leave the Fnatic family to try my luck elsewhere, the decision is and will always be my own when I felt I needed a change, and really missed playing with Swedes then in recent years played with the Danes," Fridh told fnatic's website.
"I have always been very happy at Fnatic and have always gotten the respect that I deserve. I would really like to wish Fnatic the best in the future and hope they can find a replacement soon so we can all see "the black and orange" on races again soon."
fnatic's Chief Gaming Officer, Patrik "cArn" Sättermon, also commented on the news, saying:
"Today we are officially releasing one of our longest serving and iconic members, Andreas ”Moddii” Fridh from his contract. This comes from a time of struggle from the team to reach consistency, and even more importantly: a united mindset on how to develop harmoniously as a team.
"It's always sad to bid farewell to fellow Fnatics, and this departure is certainly no exception. Andreas has shown exceptional performance and dedication ever since he joined our ranks in 2012. Moddii was one of the reasons our CS1.6 division managed to reclaim the throne after an incredible run winning multiple tournaments of international magnitude.
"We are currently considering our next step and strategy going forward in CS:GO, so expect more updates from us at Fnatic in the coming weeks."
Fridh joined fnatic in January 2012 following the departure of Faruk "pita" Pita, and helped the team through a very dominant period in the last months of 1.6, with titles at Copenhagen Games, DreamHack Summer and GameGune.
He made the move to CS:GO with the rest of the team towards the end of the year, but stepped down in December, only to return three months later.
fnatic now have the following lineup:
Michael "Friis" Jørgensen
Martin "trace" Heldt
Andreas "Xyp9x" Hojsleth
Finn "karrigan" Andersen
Michael "Friis" Jørgensen
