Statistics for NiP vs Na`Vi grand final

With our readers asking for more after our previous statistical analyses during this weekend's tournament, we've dug up some numbers to break down this upcoming grand final.

We will once again start with full player statistics from the SLTV StarSeries VI finals to give you an idea of how each player has been performing for their team so far this week in Kiev.

With KPR invisible in the charts, it's worth noting that Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund currently tops the charts at 0.90 kills a round, followed by Richard "Xizt" Landström at 0.78, Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev at 0.76 and Yegor "markeloff" Markelov at 0.75.

Aside from sporting the highest headshot-% of everyone playing in the grand final (both at SLTV and over their CS:GO careers), Arseny "ceh9" Trynozhenko has also been by far the most effective pistol round player in Kiev.

NiP has won two thirds of their pistol rounds at SLTV Finals at 66,7%. The Swedes won both pistols versus Na`Vi and Virtus on the second map of each series, leading to convincing map wins. In other games they tied pistols at one.

Na`Vi ranks second at 50% and were very close to beating Virtus on de_inferno_se despite losing both pistol rounds. Similarly to NiP, they've both won and lost maps at a one-to-one record in pistols, but won each map they've won both pistols at.

Aside from being clearly the most effective pistol round player in Kiev with a pistol rating of 2.04, a total of 0.55 above NiP's Landström, Trynozhenko also sports the highest HS% out of both teams during 2013 and at SLTV finals.

Something interesting to point out as well is that everyone from NiP aside from Robin "Fifflaren" Johansson has a lower HS% in Kiev than their 2013 average. However, Lindberg has taken over  a lot of the AWPing duties from Johansson, so those two are likely explained by the switch of weapons.

For Na`Vi on the other hand, four of their players are above their 2013 average in HS%. Markelov's jump is explained by his increased rifle usage, but for everyone else, especially Ischuk, it's a notable difference.

As far as clutching ability goes, Sergey "starix" Ischuk and Trynozhenko have both won six one-versus-X situations, including a one-on-four for Ischuk and a one-on-three for Trynozhenko.

Na`Vi's players have won a total of eleven one-on-ones, seven one-on-twos and both a one-on-three and a one-on-four. Na`Vi has won 56% of their rounds that came down to one or two players left alive for either team.

* Click on the image to see it in full size

NiP on the other hand haven't needed as many clutches, with Alesund having won a one-on-four, and the team only having won two one-on-twos and four one-on-ones as a whole. NiP's close round win-rate is just 41%.

However, for NiP the close rounds account for only 20% of their total round wins, which means they've won 80% of their rounds convincingly. Na`Vi has only won 64% of their rounds while losing less than three members.

Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko's frags have been the most valuable so far in the two teams' matches in Kiev, as he has scored at least one kill in 71% of Na`Vi's round wins.

Alesund comes as a close second at 70%, followed up by Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg at 66%, Sukhariev at 60% and Markelov at 59%. Additionally, teams on average win 90% of the rounds where a player scores three or more kills for his team.

* Click on the image to see it in full size

Something to also consider is the crowd that without a doubt will once again be present at CyberSports ARENA. They get extremely loud at times, so much so in fact that Trynozhenko once asked them to quiet down once a round starts.

Don't believe me? Here's a video recorded by Alexander "petr1k" Petrik, showing the final round of Virtus.pro match. Another short clip was posted on the CIS-portal vk.com, and you can view it here.

Both teams will get to eliminate one map from the five map pool, and if it goes to the fourth map, the deciding map will be drawn from the two that were eliminated. Na`Vi doesn't play de_nuke_se, and NiP will likely get rid of de_inferno_se.

The Ukrainians proved they are capable of winning on de_mirage_ce, and weren't too far from winning the series on de_dust2_se. They did however, despite their win online in March, look completely outmatched on de_train_se.

Will GeT_RiGhT & co get back to their winning ways?

It's hard to favor Natus Vincere in the series simply because they come from the lower bracket and I think having to win three out of four maps against the world's best team is tall task for anyone.

If Markelov can play like he did yesterday and both Trynozhenko and Ischuk continue clutching rounds, and the crowd affects NiP, I wouldn't rule it out, but most likely the Swedes will clinch this series, whether it takes two, three or four maps.

The SLTV StarSeries VI grand final is expected to start at 16:00 with NiP needing to win just two maps in the best-of-five, while Na`Vi would have to win three to win the tournament.

Who are you rooting for in the finals? Do you think Na`Vi can pull off the unlikely upset and celebrate in Kiev, or will NiP cruise to another tournament win after surviving the Virtus.pro match?

Oi, smartchicken. How can you know how many hours have markeloff in dota2 or in csgo? Hes steam is private. He played dota2 for two years and he have now 2,2k hours and csgo for 6-8months and 1,1k hours. You can see yourself this information on 9th July.

Okey, so it REALLY seems like unbeatable job for admin to do, maybe the site coding is fucked up or something if it requires extra sweat to do... :o It would be nice to know how many euros they fight for. Instead of searching it from 20 different newspost it would be great to always just click the tournament name and bang there it is. Instead of it, only what there are is list of 4 teams and their players. Wonderful, I have always thought who plays for NaVi, NiP and ESC.

i would have actually filled it in if it wasn't for the comparison to actual articles and the retarded use of bold. i have a 20-20 vision, i'm fairly confident i could have spotted the post regardless. winner gets $6k, second place $3k. don't have time to do everything, gotta pick your battles (and in that hierarchy, filling information like that out is just really really far in the back in terms of importance). hopefully sometime in the future we'll have a little more staff and some people can get around to things like that, although a quick site search would have found the result as well: hltv.org/news/10877-virtus-round-up-sltv..

Fifflaren stats are getting worse and worse. I mean those numbers are just horrendous. It's very luck they have the players they do in NiP to carry him along, but at some point once NiP start losing money by not winning, this "support/funny/nice guy" will have to go.

As I said before, delete your account. It's absolutely fair to give them a 1-0 lead because winner of those 2 matches face eachother in the winnerbracket final and the winner of that match gets to the Grand Final with a fairly 1-0 lead. It has been before like that. Newschoolers like you just won't get it. Although, Na'Vi will take the 3rd map aswell so it shouldn't be a problem for them.

Sure it's always good to win all teams but did you see Na`Vi get 1-0 lead at The International 2 because they came from the winnerbracket? No. Bo5 should be fun for everyone to watch and with a 1-0 lead it's stupid. Your prize that u win other teams is that u get to rest + practice more then the other team. Right now it only stands for 2-2 in my eyes. Starladder has stupid system.

Yes we did see it. It was a kinda different format in which the lower bracket was played bo1 and the upper bracket bo3. NiP won the upper bracket and had a 1-0 advantage in a bo3 against wolves who came from the lower bracket. Your brain is not an accessory, you're meant to use it

I think it would be a smarter move for NiP to remove d2, perhaps even mirage. I think navi have a much better chance of beating them on those maps than inferno. Navi cant win nuke, they also probably cant win train. should be an easy final for NiP.

Stop dude. You need a new binky. You qualify all of navi low kdr by hs % (completely irrelevant) and crowd noise (wow). And yea it does totally that your entry fraggers successful rounds lead to rounds won for the team so you can throw that one out too. Fiffs awping Duties? IDK it was like washing the dishes. Good thing f0rest is such a nice guy!
