Denial marked dead in ESEA

Denial who were holding an 11-1 to record prior to the departures of Sam "DaZeD" Marine and Justin "mosbeck" Mosbeck have been marked dead in ESEA Invite Season 14.

The North American team that featured three of last season's top two finishers in former Quantic members Marine, Carey "frozt" Kertenian and Trey "tck" Martin, had already clinched a playoff spot.

After Mosbeck's departure to Curse Denial looked for a new member to add to their roster and were hoping to use RC EMS One observer Joshua "steel" Nissan, but had ran out of roster additions.

tck & co will miss the upcoming ESEA finals

ESEA limits each team in Invite to four roster additions each season, which makes it all the more important to always add trustworthy backups at the beginning of each season in case something like this happens.

Denial eSports had even defeated Quantic 16-14 on de_mirage_go earlier on in the season with their only loss coming in against Curse, but with the team being marked dead it effectively closes the door for all its members this season.

Denial was:

United States Carey "frozt" Kertenian
United States Trey "tck" Martin
Canada Neil "MONTE" Montgomery
United States Ricky "sLip" Cohen

With one extra spot now open up in the North American ESEA Invite division, teams such as cuLtivation featuring former EG star Danny "fRoD" Montaner now have a shot at appearing at the finals.

Could have just said former teammate as I did play with tck/frozt/dazed/monte for over a year... But thanks for making light of the tedious job that is observing :)

wasn't sure about your team history and no way to confirm -- observing is what you did most recently and i assume a lot of people remember that.

What the fuck are you talking about? What does that statement even supposed to mean. You are a moron. Obviously lurppis didn't take the time to respond to you, and just because steel responded doesn't make what you said any less retarded.

It was meant as a backup to lurppis comment, clearly reading comprehension is not a strength of yours. (i.e. I responded to lurppis as a backup against why he wouldn't know steel's history since steel was never a big eSports figure on this site.)

If we played together in ESEA, it has team history saved. Maybe not the most accurate to see who started, etc, but it's a start. play.esea.net/teams/27853?tab=league&per.. play.esea.net/teams/27853?tab=league&per.. play.esea.net/teams/27853?tab=league&per.. play.esea.net/teams/27853?tab=league&per.. But this is a 1.6 site and we were source so no worries that you didn't know

actually i agree with him . It's like if you played with frod sunman trip over a year and all people what remember from different scene "I observe during EMS, i take picture during WCG , i chase duck in montana" steel's team was top2 in NA for 1year and half on source (after team dynamic). It's not that difficult to find that information

5 teams competing for the last two spots if you give them the wins/losses for games against dead teams, teams they will probably beat (rareform, we are x6) and teams they will probably lose to (curse, quantic) it would leave those 5 with these records: frost gaming 10-4 stay frosty 9-6 cultivation 8-7 high rollers gaming 7-8 global revolution 6-9 from that it would between cul and stay frosty for that fourth spot with Cultivation needing stay frosty to lose against grev and for themselves to beat Frost gaming leaving both teams with tied records and it would come down to round difference. Would like Cul to get it and see frod on lan again.

What about NAF-FLY wasn't he with them. Maybe he peaced when they didn't start him. At least the US isn't as badly off as the German scene. Maybe if your country passed the anti-corruption bill that the rest of the EU already signed you could stop cheating! Edit: I'd also like to add that DaZeD deserves a-hole of the year honors. And not getting to see mosbeck on lan is brutal. I don't buy his 45kill esea pugs all day, only because hes never proved on LAN to my knowledge.

mosbeck currently plays for Curse in case you didn't know. So he has a pretty good chance attending S14 LAN. Even know it's a shame that this team together with steel can't participate because of rotations DaZeD did early in the season

There's almost no chance mosbeck doesn't make LAN... only way he won't is if he simply does not show up.

The rules need to be reformed. If a player leaves a team they should be ineligible to join a new team for a certain duration of time (possibly with a maximum number of teams per season). The bottom 3-4 teams every season should be moved down no matter what the circumstance is. Who cares if a team is "hijacked" if they don't Win enough matches they'll be moved down. This will prevent teams from being marked Dead and others from gaining Forfeit wins. The rosters should be locked for the lan finals in the last week or two of regular season play.

ESEA finals start to be less and less interesting unfortunately. No denial, probably not the bests european teams... really sad for a competition like this, who obviously deserves the best. Anyway, steel back in NA ? If it's true, it's really good for him and for NA scene. Top 1 inc.

Good, so ESEA killed a professional CS:GO team with money/sponsors. Is their express goal to destroy NA professional FPS entirely or are they just so dumb that they don't realize what they did? Imagine if David Stern or Roger Goddell told an NBA or NFL team, "Whoops! Rosters are locked! Can't add anyone even if a bunch of your players left, guess you'll have to forfeit the rest of your matches." That's the equivalent of what they did.
