n!faculty, fm.TOXiC, Mystik top groups

All six playoff teams have been found at DreamHack's Valencia stop, with n!faculty, fm.TOXiC and Mystik claiming the top spots in their groups. fm.TOXiC, however, will be going to the relegation stage due to the worst average round difference of the three teams, while the Swedes and the French get a free pass to the semi-final.

After lengthy delays and a series of issues, DreamHack Valencia's group stage finally came to an end late today. On day one, fm.TOXiC claimed the top spot of Group A, which contained only three teams due to Lemondogs not showing up, while today saw n!faculty and Clan-Mystik coming out on top.

n!faculty claimed the first place in Group C by defeating k1ck, einheit and Mistral.E2G, whereas Clan-Mystik needed to beat Wizards twice to conquer Group B.

The French team originally defeated the best local team 16-13 on de_inferno_se, but Wizards complained that their opponents were re-buying smoke grenades in certain rounds. That indeed was the case, but the rules were somewhat vague on the matter, so the organizers decided to set up a rematch after all the other matches ended.

In that repeat of Group B's first place decider, Mystik stormed over Wizards 16-3 and secured themselves the best average round difference out of all group winners (+9.7), and thus a direct spot in the semi-final.

Second semi-final spot went to n!faculty (+9.3), while fm.TOXiC were the losers of this battle with a +9.0 average which put them in the relegation stage with the three second placed teams - k1ck, Wizards and Panthers.

As was the case in the first two days of DreamHack Valencia, the tournament will only have 10 PCs available on the final day as well, so be prepared for delays depending on how long the matches take.
