Brazil loses ESWC spot
The Electronic Sports World Cup has announced that Brazil will not organise a qualifier for this year's world finals after all.
Brazil had initially been listed as one of the countries that had secured an ESWC license to put together a qualifier for the world finals, although it remained unclear which organisation was going stage the tournament.
However, just like Argentina, Brazil is no longer listed on the ESWC CS:GO page, meaning that the country will not stage a qualifier after all.
The only chance for Brazilian teams to attend the ESWC finals is if they get their hands on one of the three spots that are reserved for teams from countries that will not organise qualifiers. To apply for one of these spots, teams need to fill out the application form.
Meanwhile, the ESWC has indicated that Algeria will be replacing Brazil on the qualifiers' list, with the tournament scheduled to take place between August 28th to 31st in Hydra, a municipality in the province of Algiers.
