4Kings release CS:GO team

4Kings have dispensed with the services of their CS:GO division, the team have confirmed to HLTV.org.

Back in April, 4Kings revealed that they had decided to venture into CS:GO by supporting a new team who featured Marc "Mangiacapra" Mangiacapra, one of the most accomplished players in the United Kingdom.

The project drew the attention of the community, not only because of the lineup itself, but also because the team would be able to practice in a gaming house located in Manchester.

But after more than four months, the team have yet to attend their first event, and after learning that 4Kings would not be sending them to i49 later in the month, the players decided to part company with the organisation.

"After 4K has been unable to send us to the last 3 events that we have wanted to attend, latest one being the upcoming i49 lan in two weeks time, 4K has agreed to release us from our contracts to allow us to seek a new org/sponsor," Mangiacapra told HLTV.org.

"We have decided to stick together as a team and continue living together in the gaming house out of our own pockets.

"Depending on the future of CS:GO we might not necessarily stick with CS and may focus on a new and upcoming esports title. 4Kings as an organisation will continue to live on but I believe are going to focus on MOBA titles due to sponsorship."

yeah i know about planetside.. But firefall feels takes me so freaking longggg =D. I run around without a clue some times. Couldnt imagine it to be fun for spectators to watch pvp.

It was a faillure even before it started.

UK squads are disbanding month after month. Someone should try and find the best guys out there, build a team and start being competitive.

Doesn't always work out bringing the Best players in and forming a team from that.. A lot of different properties like team chemistry (and helps if the people like each other too! :D) etc makes the best teams, My thoughts of it anyway..

4K payed for a gaming house (and maybe other expenses) for 4 months but couldnt afford to send them to national LAN events? Seems like a waste if they werent intending on sending them to LANs to get exposure/value of their investment. Would be nice to see these guys in some games soon tho, even online.

I dont think 4kings even payed for that gaming house to be honest i think the players payed for it out of pocket

fuckin bullshit, i hate how everybody thinks that there is no chance for fps anymore nowadays. well there is dota2 but dota was just as famous with dota1 when fps were still alive. and there is lol and lol's success is completely random and lucky, it has nothing that an fps game cant achieve.

This article is a little mis-reported. The players left of their own accord, so the title is misleading and gives the players a bad image, when really it sounds like the organisation who deserve some stick here. I feel sorry for the players - I was hoping to see them attend a LAN soon but how crap it must be to be practising for months and then never getting to go play properly. Sad times for UK, but hope a good org picks them up. Would be good to see how they fair...

i guess it was all a lie that the org paid for a gaming house? close to a grand a month for a house but cant fork out some train tickets and 50 pounds a night at a premier inn travel lodge etc for a weekend? seems logical...anyway team was terrible from csgo point of view but thats probably just the game:( onscreen beat get right at 1.6 lets all make fun of him

He is so bad. Any pubber with strange characters at his name can easily outplay him. He only jumps, changes his crosshair, moves 300 degrees with this sensitivity and fails over and over with each shot. It's a shame that people like pt, mangia or wez are with him.

I said it when they got picked and i say it now. picking up gamers that quit years ago because once they were good is retarded. Why would 4Kings send you to any event? You've been awful in every single game I've watched you play. However, going to an i-series event shouldn't be something you should only do if you are sponsored, it costs you a ticket and a train ride, you're all big boys, surely you can afford that and show your organisation you are worth it? I still think with a definite replacement for onscreen, and perhaps even deus even though he has been impressive you could still do well. Rattlesnk Hughsy wez pt re1ease is still what I want to see.

End of the day the players have themselves to blame, and I honestly believe you could have got 5 random players from valve match making put them in that house and they would've produced better results. I hope pt continues to play he was beasty back in the day with Rattlesnk.
