Cph Wolves withdraw from StarSeries

Copenhagen Wolves decided to withdraw from SLTV StarSeries Season VII because the finals clash with Gaming.dk league season 7 finals. The Danes will be replaced by a Russian team USSR.

Copenhagen Wolves earned their spot from the qualifier only two days ago by winning their group after beating fnatic and ex-Begrip.

Today the team announced that they will not be attending the league, as the finals dates clash with Gaming.dk league season 7 finals, which is a part of another local tournament NPF 14.

SLTV organizers have decided to replace Copenhagen Wolves with USSR, who will be attending StarSeries with the following five:

Russia Artem "mouseTT" Karyagin
Russia Nikita "En4ZenT" Romadin
Russia Ivan "keepitreaL" Pisarev
Russia Timofey "DSTR" Malyugin
Russia Egor "EgorK" Klimov

With the league set to start tomorrow with a match between fnatic and /10/, SLTV released a trailer, which you can watch by hitting play below:

This is not going to boost the team's visibility at all, or improve their game as much. It feels like they're aiming at easy cash... Sad.

Are you implying that Copenhagen Wolves does this move to earn "easy cash"? Hell no! The Copenhagen Wolves and Western Wolves rivalry means a lot - and so does the throne of Denmark.

I'm not implying, I'm SAYING that it feels like it. I'm not in CPH Wolves or involved enough in the scene to know about their real motives behind this move, but even if it's not for the easy cash, it's just not what you would expect from a top team, and certainly not going to help them grow in the international scene. Just my thoughts.

SteelSeries is CPH Wolves' main sponsor. Therefore they are going to attend this league instead of StarSeries since SteelSeries is hosting the danish league. The players of the team also thinks it is important to support the only danish league there is.

I never said it didn't make sense. And I'm sorry but attending international leagues to represent Denmark is much more useful to their scene in my opinion. Meanwhile they would leave their spot at Gaming.dk for another talented Danish team who may make a breakthrough during the event and boost even more the Danish scene. For the rest, see #15.
