Major update for CS:GO on the way
Valve has confirmed that a "major update" for CS:GO will be released later today.
Over the last few days, there has been a lot of buzz in the community about what the next update for CS:GO will bring, after Valve decided last month to stop releasing patches on a weekly basis.
The addition of a silencer to the Counter-Terrorists' main rifle seems to be a sure thing, but the possibility of CS:GO becoming free to play is a possibility that seems to be gaining steam.
This update will also allow the community to chip in and contribute towards having bigger prize pots at esports events, though the exact way in which this will happen remains unknown.
According to Valve, the update will be released "within a few hours", so it is possible that it will disrupt tonight's StarSeries and Mad Catz matches.
