blackWidow invited to ESWC female

The ESWC officials have announced that blackWidow have been invited to attend this year's female tournament in Paris.

The Spanish team have a long tradition in the female Counter-Strike scene, and were seen in attendance at last year's ESWC finals, where they finished at the bottom of their group, with three defeats from as many games.

Earlier in the month, blackWidow decided to look abroad for new players after failing to build a full-Spanish lineup that was capable of competing on an international level, and recruited a player from Germany, Sweden and Bulgaria.

After crashing out of the first MSI Beat IT qualifier in the first round following a 16-6 defeat to HEADSHOTBG, blackWidow have now secured a wildcard into ESWC.

The French event, which will run from ctober 30th to November 3rd at Porte de Versailles in Paris, will feature an eight-team female tournament, whose prize purse has not yet been revealed.
