New US top team come to life

A new North American side have been created under the name Homeless, boasting a number of top players.

Over the last few weeks, we have seen a lot of changes in the upper Echelon of the North American scene, with Denial calling it quits half way through the ESEA season and Curse losing two players after the LAN finals.

Carey "frozt" Kertenian has now put together a new team with Trey "tck" Martin and Neil "MONTE" Montgomery, two team-mates of the Denial team who were marked dead on ESEA when they were 11-1 in the league.

Joining up with them are Keven "AZK" Lariviere, who quit Curse on Sunday, and Derek "dboorN" Boorn, who is famous for his time in compLexity and Evil Geniuses.

Sam "DaZed" Marine, formerly of Quantic Gaming, has also joined in as backup player while he continues his gaming career playing Call of Duty on the Xbox.

"We wanted to form a team that was in it for the long haul and could compete with the best teams in the world," Kertenian told ESEA News.

"We needed players with experience, a hunger to win, and that would stick together for the long haul. tck, montE and I have been playing together for years so naturally we wanted to all get back together.

"Dboorn is still getting fully accustomed to playing CS:GO, but he fits perfectly into the type of player we were looking for and his mentality with how he approaches the game meshes perfectly with us.

"We were initially going to use Mosbeck as our 5th, but we had been in talk with AZK for some time. Keven is really the only other player that we had wanted to play with. We've been competing against him for years, and we know his desire to be the best in the world as well as how he competes is on par with what we want to as a team.

"So we're really hungry to prove something, all of us feel as if we have a bit of a chip on our shoulder. We plan on competing in the ESWC Qualifiers, MSI Beat It tournament, ESEA this upcoming season as well as a few more major events down the road. We are solidifying negotiations with our sponsor and hopefully news about it will be revealed soon."

This new team, who will currently go by the name Homeless, boast:

Fair enough in tournaments, although I believe Curse had a failure of a tournament once. Thing is, at most of those tournaments, key top teams had been missing, so it really doesn't accurately show where the US teams could be placed.

It has 5 players + a backup that are definitely good enough to beat euro teams. If they can forge a good practice schedule, pick up a good sponsor(which apparently they have already) and everything clicks they could beat coL and Curse(when they rebuild, if they do)
