Pimp, coloN team up in AWESOME

Jacob "Pimp" Winneche has teamed up with Morten "coloN" Johansen, Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen and more in his new Danish team called AWESOME.

The team built around two former Western Wolves members will get to keep the old team's RC EMS One spot, and is rounded up by Danni "smF" Dyg and Frederik "LOMME" Nielsen.

Winneche and Lauridsen had been teammates in Western Wolves for almost a year, since the beginning of CS:GO. Dyg was previously a member of Copenhagen Wolves, with a short stint in fm.TOXiC as well.

Pimp returns to top level of CS:GO in AWESOME

Nielsen had only attended two events so far in CS:GO, and Johansen only has a few under his belt as well, but both of them are well known from the latter era of Counter-Strike 1.6.

AWESOME already made waves in ESL A-Series, the qualification method for RC EMS One, as they defeated Astana Dragons with a 16-8 scoreline on de_nuke_se on Sunday.

Winneche gave us the following statement:

"Today I am happy to announce that I'm back with a new Counter Strike team! I have once again teamed up with MSL, whom I shared a lot of good moments with in our former team Western Wolves. We have teamed up with three former Eternity players coloN, LOMME and smF as well", Winneche told HLTV.org.

"So far things have been running well, and we now feel ready to make our decision officially. We will in the first 3 EMS cups go under the name Western Wolves to keep playing the EMS cups, and after that we will return with our own name, and maybe a new organization.

"We are right now looking for a home to represent, as we are standing on our own feet at this moment. If someone is be on the lookout for a mix of experienced and talented players we are definitely worth a look. We can be contacted at [email protected] and via Skype: Jacobskiii0.

"We will participate in the EMS Fall season, under the name Western Wolves for the first 3 weeks, and also the Danish SteelSeries Gaming.dk league! So far the only LAN that we have planned to attend for sure is Net-party-fyn which is going to be a domestic Danish tournament."

Winneche and company will once again be on show tonight starting at roughly 20:00 versus the winner of EnRo GRIFFINS and ALTERNATE, as they are directly through to the second round.

Except I have never retired. I've taken breaks, yes. This time it is a definite stop though. The right offer has been made, I rejected it - and that is why I'm certain I wont be back.
