MYM Signs PGSPokerStrategy

The rumors had been floating for quite some time, that the ESWC champions PGSPokerStrategy, would be joining forces with the Danish organization MYM. The PGS organization however made a better contract for their CS division and the team decided to stayed with the Polish organization.

Earlier last week the Danish organization announced they would release their CS division and be focusing on another game type instead of CS. Many said they saw a new team joining within far too long. Mark "Mercy" de Fries, MYM COO, replied to the rumors about yet another CS team joining MYM.

"Sorry to state it guys, but there will be no CS 1.6 team in MYM anymore, we will instead go the ways of CoD4, a team will be announced within the next days."

The statement however became misleading to many, as MYM today announce the arrival of the five former PGSPokerStrategy players, who earlier today left the Polish organization. The five players will from this day on be representing MYM as their CS division.

The new MYM CS division consists of:

Jakub "kuben" Gurczyński
Mariusz "loord" Cybulski
Filip "Neo" Kubski
Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas
Lukasz "LUq" Wnek

One of the absolute stars on the team, Filip "Neo" Kubski states following about the transfer to MYM:

"Leaving PGS was a really difficult decision for us, as we've been part of the team since the beginning. But the time has come and our ambitions have risen. That's why we've decided to join one of the best gaming organizations in the world - MYM. Hopefully now, with right the support of our new friends, we will achieve even more! Also, we would like to thank the PGS guys for their support throughout all these years. These times were our best. We wish them best of luck in the future."

The team will have its debut as the new MYM squad in Extreme Masters versus Spirit of Amiga in 2008.

they're all polish, from a polish clan, and they are going to play under the Norwegian flag - i dont get that. I understand the decision fully, probably it's a turn for the better, and that MYM is norwegian, i understand that too, but there should be some kind of reference to the polish roots. like...MYM.pl.cs or something

Whats gonna happen with the next matches? 19th December MYM VS wooSai 20th December MYM vs roccat Will they be cancelled? Or will the *NEW LINE-UP* play those? If they do change Line-Ups ;)

Sorry, you're right - i write rather hastely and make mistakes (sry to all the fans that got hurt :D ) But anyway, the point still is - will they play under the danish flag as representives, or will they be MYM.pl ?

Well, it's kinda funny? fnatic from Australia, but they Counter-Strike team playing from Sweden, so a Swedish team representing fnatic in Counter-Strike, Swedish flag. So it will be MYM with a Polish flag.

MYM is Danish organization and they had Norwegian team.. Do you remember which flag was there on HLTV.org? Norwegian! So this means that now, there will be polish flag :)

Since the Norwegian player played under danish organisation MYM without .no i don't think it will be .pl since there's only one CS 1.6 MYM team. Sorry if that doesen't make any sence, i just woke up.. tired.

Think it's pretty silly of mYm, to suddently say they don't want a CS 1.6 team anymore, then the next day they recruit one. And besides PGS have lost just about everysingle match for the past months, carrying the cursed mYm tag will not help them imo. goodluck though.

It is just so wierd to be seeing these guys in MYM colors. They spend so much time in one organisation and now they're moving to the other one and it's just crazy to me :>. It's just one good thing about it. They don't have to learn new tactics, because of the same team. GL on your first and next matches.
