NiP win FACEIT Cup over VeryGames

Ninjas in Pyjamas came from behind to beat VeryGames 2-1 and win FACE ITs August Cup.

It was a keenly-contested monthly tournament, the one that FACEIT organised on Monday, with the competition having some very interesting games as early as in the first round.

Still, all the four invites teams managed to make it to the semi-finals, where NiP eased past fnatic 2-0 and VeryGames breezed through Astana Dragons, also with the same scoreline.

In this classic CS:GO final, VG came out very strongly, winning de_dust2_se 16-13, but then NiP responded in convincing fashion and beat the French side on the other two maps (16-14 on de_mirage_ce and 16-12 on de_inferno_se).

nothing you could compare man, shoxie wasnt even playing on some round, that was not just some "random lags". without that they could have won inferno and even mirage as it started on it. not an excuse as I think nip still would have won that bo3.

to be fair, that really had an impact, he lagged badly when NiP got its first crucial weapon round in the second side. I'm not saying this would have completely changed the match, but it definitely had an impact, and nip players know that. Regardless of the result, just for the show and for the sake of knowing that both teams brought their best, it's unfortunate.

There will always be excuses. But that was VG's match and they would have won. "NBK had to poop rly bad" plz stop being pathetic. So it took them 19 matches to get better at playing vs nip ? And how can lagging be an excuse ? 250 in ping is not playable.

Yeah he actually is. I've always seen him with a 70-90 ping which funny enough is steady. But playing with a ping which is jumping from a normal ping to 250 in milliseconds is the same ?

+1 I have played on 200 ping on esea US servers before and while definitely not ideal, it is "okay". I have also attempted to play with packet loss before and it is beyond fucking ridiculous. Warping around walls, seeing the enemy seconds after they actually peaked, it's a nightmare.

hahaha youre officially an idiot :D adren played with at most 100 lag which is really annoying but still u can help your team. 200+ lag = no way u can do something. i didnt watch the match nor do i care who wins but saying someone can perform with 200 ping is stupid

He.... didn't.... lag.... that.... much..... Did you even watch the game ROFL. His POV was literally like a slide show, he had upwards of 300 ping and was constantly prevented from even moving let alone aiming at somebodies head due to the lag he was experiencing. I'm sure you are very proud of NiP scraping a win 4v5 on inferno.

Problem in that? Thats a fact where did i stated that there was a problem with that? Lets get real: ScreaM did the performance of his life, carrying VG on his back completely alone, and they still lost. Do you honestly think ScreaM will put up a similiar performance in a bo3 vs NiP on lan? Not saying he will perform badly, but THAT good?

He is capable of performing that good - of course - and ScreaM has carried VG million other times. But since they went 2 maps - he had that much frags - let's see they win 1 round against NiP on lan - then discuss the frags after.

He is not capable of performing like he did yesterday on lan and dreamhack will prove you wrong, I dont really need to say anything else. And no, ScreaM did not carried VG a million times on lan, and thats the reason people and myself consider shox and NBK way better players than scream.

you dont think that nip gets better in better condition aswell`? dont be silly dude, nip is awful online compared to lan. A normal nr 2 team do E_V_E_R_Y_T_H_I_N_G to beat nr 1 and they are very far from showing that.

they did have good conditions? best conditions are when youre playing in your own house, not on lan, because youre used to play at this place (however motivation isnt as high as it is on lans). and no, vg are not that far away from beating nip, they have already played several close maps with nip and who knows what would have happened if they won some of them

VG have had line up changes (not an excuse) but it is clearly obvious that this newest line up is putting up the best fight against NIP. At least makes for better matches.

Ex6TenZ actually played really well which was nice to see. Scream obviously beasted it and the rest were strong too. Shame they lost in the end but they gave them a great game on all three maps and it genuinely could have gone in VGs favour on inferno in slightly different cicumstances.

Honestly I'm not that familiar with apex's play style / his usual role in teams. But what I've seen from ScreaM is that ofc he's a superior aimer compared to almost any1. But. For example the game vs NiP he made some really awkward mistakes, (like in D2 he didnt call 2 guys coming B, which led them to lose the round because 2 of the remaining VG guys were at A). At least that's how I personally saw it. And I recall reading in some article/comment that people say that he ain't always communicating enough, which in CS of course is crucial ))

Really hope your trolling, i get it when people say ScreaM's game sense and decision makeing falters abit sometimes, but the fact is that he wins alot of important rounds like 1v2 , 1v3 or multiple 3-4-5k for vg almost everytime they play and thats a fact, i dont know where people get that idea do some of you even watch the games?...
