Here is a video of fnatic's winning moment after they re-played the second half of overtime versus NiP at DreamHack Bucharest.

Jesper "jw" Wecksell and company were understandably extremely happy after beating NiP for the second time in overtime, and their joy truly shows in this just over a minute long video clip.

Hit play below to watch as fnatic celebrate their emotional win versus the world's best team and then deny Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund's side handshakes as a way of protesting what had happened.

In the end both fnatic and NiP qualified for the playoffs of DreamHack Bucharest, although NiP did so as the second seed in group A and will go onto face one of the group winners in quarter-finals later today.

True :D I've been on JW's side when everyone have been talking shit about him, cuz he has been very kind lately. But now, I don't know what to feel about the kid. I knew he was very cocky in the beginning when he played 1.6. Like REALLY cocky. Played a lot of gathers with/against him and he was so immature. Well, I know that feel tbh. When you put so much effort in the game and you finally get that match you wanted, and suddenly a protest appear out of nowhere. Even to it was mainly the Admins fault I can feel for them. It got out of hand and I could see myself doing the same thing in that situation. You could also see the relief in the eyes of fnatic.

The admins messed up the OT settings, NiP got confused, put a protest up infront of the admins, and got the 2nd half of the OT replayed, which made everyone freak the fuck out and all of a sudden everyone is blaming NiP for bad sportsmanship, because of a mistake from the admins side..

Why would you put a protest in a situation where you lost 6:1? NIP lost this overtime because fnatic was better, not because the overtime was played MR5, so if they are really that 'fair' - then they shouldn't complain about it. Yes, admins messed up, but so did NIP and fnatic because they didn't check the rules.

Well, with admins on sight, who should be well aware of their OWN rules, both NiP and fnatic should trust the admins to give the correct information (The thought of the teams having to find the information all by themselves seems unlikely).. They lost overtime 6:1 which was played MR5, but the rules state that the overtime should be played MR3, so NIP made a protest about it and so the overtime had to be replayed (fnatic won anyway). This situation sort of looked like some amateur ESL match, where after the lost match, one team decided to look for the reason to replay match.

Did he say this yet? Fnatic has a reputation as an org for a reason. Its embarrasing for these kids to handle a group stage match like this. I think the current fnatic lineup is very skilled and going places but they would have looked way better just appreciating their 2 wins over nip within 30mins and taking any drama on the chin and going on in the tourn with head up. edit: seen the tweet , really happy about this

I have seen a lot of similar attitudes in real sports with big money involved (in football, NBA, Badminton, NFL, Baseball, etc) and vice versa. I'm not trying to defend them, but I'm just saying incidents like this would repeat over and over again. And I don't think that's the main reason why CS isn't taking seriously. In any professional eSports/sports, you won't get players who act professionally all the time. There always is a bad apple.

Because that is professional sports, when there is evidence of it they get punished. That is what happened with suarez and evra with the refusing to shake hands incident. They got punished. When it's a small business like esports, it's pretty obvious, and therefore shouldn't be acting like a moron.

Suarez was punished because he was racially abusing Evra, not because of the handshake incident to be honest. Anyway, I think refusing to shake your opponent's hand is more like a show of sportsmanship/respect towards each other and it's not mandatory for players. I don't support any unprofessional conduct, but again, we can't force the players to act accordingly since they are the ones who are making the decisions whether to curse someone with profanity words or not shaking people's hands. I agree with you there should be punishments or at least a prize-reduction penalty for any unprofessional behavior. But since eSports is still young and we don't have governing body to enforce such rules, players with bad attitude will always get away.

But the thing was that NiP thought it was the last round when it was the 3rd, but there was two rounds after. And xizt did spent all his money, bought one awp and ak. He took a fast peak with awp, and then changed to ak. And they lost the round and xizt needed to eco the round after :p Because NiP thought it was the last round. I love seeing this. We need some kind of drama in the CS:GO-scene, just like in football. I know how it is to win matches like this. I remember in a football game where we went down with 9 men after a complete fail judge. We won the game 3-2 after being under 2-1. I didn´t shake the judges hand, fuck no. For the people saying that fnatic should have shook their hands they are right, but you have to understand this is literally seconds after they won a replay match they NEVER should have played. NiP should have in the first place just took there defeat. I don't give a shit if they bought extra awps or w/e - no matter how you set it up, fnatic would have won a MR3 or a MR5. Well it's kinda lame from NIP, whats the point? No really they still can go forward in the tournament, just some stupid points in group. I remember when NIP first lost lan map to Virtus.pro, their manager run to admins blaming casters (sl4m..) by telling too much information, i watched that game and as Latvian i know Russian very good. Sl4m was saying all the time in those matches that they won't give information about nip positions and information that Virtus.pro doesn't know and they didn't leak anything (and one of virtus players said that you can't hear a shit through those double headphones). Respect to sl4m by taking it cool. It seems being a best team in the world means being the bitchiest about every lost game. But Fanatic players are behaving like kids, i understand that it's a big pressure but act like professionals for fuck sake, shake hands, respect other teams no matter how startarded they think they are. He's no longer the same GTR I used to know from SK anymore. After he joined fnatic and became one of the top players, his attitude changed. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the players (whether pro or not) don't like him. I remember one time, he got really angry and didn't finish the game because he was losing to someone (a random player, not a pro) in an aim map.

f0rest also lost to him that match but his reaction was different from GTR. The only difference between f0rest and GTR is that f0rest doesn't feel the need to prove anything.

fnatic seemed mad after the win, which is so often the case with trolls. Not to say NiP deserved a GG after protesting an OT which they didn't win no matter how you do the math. But its so scrubby to be angry after a win.

NiP should of taken the loss from the beginning, as some one previously said "if you lose a match 1-29, you won't go to protest about the fact that the match should've had 24 rounds". I can see why fnatic were bitter about it after the game and I honestly think talking about fnatics sportsmanship is a joke, what about NiP's? They deserve any trash that got dished out.

Nice example. What do you think happens when the referee sees one player smacktalking to another player. He either gets a warning, a yellow card or a red card depending on the kind of insult, also he will be teared appart in the newspapers. Anyway, if the players want to get the game accepted in an adult environment and make the scene grow, they should act like adults.
