Lemondogs pull out of StarSeries

Lemondogs have announced that they have pulled out of SLTV StarSeries VII with immediate effect.

The Swedish team were sitting 10th in the league, with two victories from three games, and were due to face Natus Vincere, Courage and USSR in a triple header tonight.

However, Lemondogs, who finished runners-up to Ninjas in Pyjamas at DreamHack Bucharest have decided to skip the rest of the tournament, and are even considering not taking part in any more online leagues.

"Unfortunately, the conditions that the Lemondogs organisation offers are not so good, so we spend most of our days at work," Faruk "pita" Pita told StarSeries' organisation.

"In such circumstances, it is hard to play online leagues, and unfortunately we are leaving StarSeries, and probably all other online leagues as well."

Lemondogs are the second team to leave StarSeries half way through the season, following in the footsteps of Russian side b.s3x, who were removed because of unsportsmanship conduct.

not for me. organisations would always transfer money so it's balanced enough and no team gets left behind like that.

Yea i understand that, and it should kind of be like your saying. But in the end they dont do it. Or its because the agreement/contract isnt that good. It all depends on what circumstances the players accepted to play under when they joined Lemondogs.

Lemondogs have a signed contract with LCS as well, wich gives them some kind of income throughout the season? I guess that takes some of the money pressure from the organisation. Confirm/deny?

that is not my point. i'd want lemondogs to give enough money to their csgo team to be able to at least practice. which according to pita is not the case.

i'm sure they get a small salary but just not enough to skip their in real life jobs. It's not really lemondogs fault, "real" jobs obviously pay better than a cs:go team

yes ofc, but pita's comment made me think the players were expecting something else. it would be interesting to know what the contract says (written or in words) :)

then they should make it clear to pita&co. judging by pita's response, the players were not aware of the fact that the team will not get supported enough to practice properly. the fact that only LoL team is worth supporting money-wise is irrelevant here (tho i agree with your statement).

Probably the second or third best Team in Europe in LoL ;) Lemondogs isn't a big Organisation and they were just lucky to get such a LoL Team. They risk everything with this Team. Nobody knew that this Team would finish that good in LCS Europe ;). They get their salary from RIOT and probably a BIT from Lemondogs but that's it. Wouldn't be surprised if some big Organisation will buy the current LD LoL Team after the World Finals for the next season.

Well the're not that small anymore. With a top team in LCS you can't be considered small anymore. I know what the sponsors etc. are paying organizations in the LCS or atleast some.

big companies as partners/sponsors some kind of legacy/durability of course success (but thats not that most important factor in terms of "big organization" imo) fnatic / EG / NaVi are some orgs i'd rate as big, but not lemondogs even they seem to have done a decent job in the past

1: The've got CKRAS, SteelSeries, Inferno Online as partners. They have One of the best european LoL teams (Wich has to be considered the biggest eSport game atm) and a top 10 CS:GO team in the world aswell. I don't know the economics of Lemondogs, but i cant imagine them being a poor organization.

You need to understand that their League of Legends team may have other contracts with better benifits than their GO team. Since the League of Legends team is doing pretty well, they have a much higher chance to pull sponsors than pita etc.
