Astana win RC EMS One Fall Cup #3

Astana Dragons have won RC EMS One Fall Cup #3 and qualified for the main round with a 2-0 (16-11 de_mirage_ce, 16-11 de_inferno_se) victory over Finnish ENCE eSports in the grand final.

Astana first ran through the Finns of solemn in the opening round, followed by a 21-17 overtime win versus Filip "NEO" Kubski's ESC Gaming in round two on de_mirage_ce.

Yegor "markeloff" Markelov's team then took down ALTERNATE 16-9 on de_inferno_se before coming back from a 6-14 deficit versus Markelov's former team Natus Vincere, to win 16-14 on de_inferno_se.

Astana won this week's cup and qualified for the main round

On the other side of the bracket Joona "natu" Leppänen's ENCE eSports pulled a massive overtime upset win over Ninjas in Pyjamas on de_inferno_se, before winning sixteen straight rounds versus Refuse, following a 0-3 start.

The grand final saw Astana Dragons continue their strong play while ENCE put up a fight but couldn't stand up to the Kazakhstani backed giants, who scored two 16-11 wins on de_mirage_ce and de_inferno_se.

Really great practice play for Astana. Wins help them to get confidence verdus top teams, I know they dont faced NiP or VG, but atleast they show manu good rounds and a sick come back vs NaVi Gg wp all

Lol this is one of the stupidest comments I've ever read. Markeloff is by far the best player in Astana Dragons, he practically carries them every game. Markeloffs rifling is huge right now and he can awp well when needed. If his team can back him up, he will become one of the greatest players of all time

Looking at the results makes one wonder if all those players changes where of any good. AD, Navi and ESC are still all on the same plane, the games between these teams can go either way, and they still can't compete against NIP or VG (except for a few odd games). So, what was the point of all that? Anyway, well played by AD.

How do you know they can't compete with NiP? You haven't even seen a single match of the new ESC against NiP, or the new Navi against NiP and AD played 1-2 against NiP on their first lan event. Looking at the former lineups: They were definitely able to compete with NiP. Old Navi won two times against NiP online and the only time they met NiP on lan they played a very close 1-2. Virtus.pro won several BO3 on lan against NiP, they even had positive statistics against them. Actually VP (and maybe Navi) was the only team that was on NiPs lan-level and had a very good chance to win (unlike teams like Verygames who just can't compete with NiP).

Dislike RC EMS One Fall Cup #3 series... Liked it when I was kid, but not anymore. I see no point nor pleasure in playing gangsters life, killing people for no reason isn't anything satisfying neither.
