EXR completes AWESOME's roster

Nikolaj "EXR" Therkildsen has joined Danish AWESOME to fill the hole left by Jacob "Pimp" Winneche's departure to Copenhagen Wolves.

Winneche founded AWESOME together with the other four of its current members shortly after his and Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen's former team Western Wolves folded in mid-August.

After three RC EMS One Fall Cups, which saw the team once take down ESC Gaming, with another victory over Astana Dragons in ESL A-Series, the team had scored 100 points and qualified for the main round.

Therkildsen has previously played for POPPERS, Xapso and ZET in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, although he has yet to attend any big tournaments. He also has a lengthy Counter-Strike 1.6 history within Denmark.

We reached out to Lauridsen for an official statement regarding the addition of Therkildsen and AWESOME's plans for the near future, which you can read below:

"After Pimp left for CPH Wolves, we talked together about a good replacement. We quickly find out that we wanted to play with EXR, cause he have performed very well both online and offline. We're looking forward to playing with him and I think we will even get better than before, Lauridsen told HLTV.org.

"We will attend the danish LAN called NPF in 3 weeks with the Steelseries league finals at the venue aswell, so hopefully we will do a lot of damage. If any organisation is interested for a longtime deal or just NPF deal, you can contact us at [email protected] @ mail"

Next up for AWESOME will be NetPartyFyn #13 in Denmark, as well as the SteelSeries league's finals at the same event. The team has also qualified for RC EMS One Fall's main round.
