Casting lineup for RC EMS One Fall

ESL have announced the casting lineup for this weekend's RC EMS One Fall Finals, where eight teams will battle it out for $35,000 and two DreamHack Winter spots.

This weekend will mark the first time we see Joe Miller cast EMS One Finals, although the fan favorite will only be present for the first day of competition. Paul "ReDeYe" Chaloner will act as a host, but will not cast.

Other casters include Lauren "Pansy" Scott and Jason Kaplan from the usual ESL TV roster, with NiP TV's Anders Blume also being flown to Cologne to continue casting, as he did during the online season.

ESL have also invited Joshua "steel" Nissan back as an observer, so he will be in charge of controlling the in-game cameras once more, as he did during the RC EMS One Summer 2013 finals.

ESL studios play host to another RC EMS One Finals event this weekend

Finally, ESL will use players from the tournament as color commentators throughout the weekend. Last time we saw the likes of Robin "Fifflaren" Johansson from NiP cast, and others are expected to hop in as well.

HLTV.org will travel to Cologne to provide you with full coverage of the $35,000 RC EMS One Fall 2013 Finals, including galleries, statistics, match reports, hot matches and much more.

We will be publishing our group stage preview and viewer's guide in the coming days, so stay tuned for the usual pre-event coverage as we get closer and closer to the action, set to start at 12:00 on Saturday.

That Anders dude just doesn't have it, or maybe hes recent casts with Semmler are just meh i dunno cannot say for sure. Haven't seen the others hope they do good.

He's not saying the players are better at casting, smart one. He's pointing out the fact that cArn and lurppis aren't players in the ESL Finals, and wouldn't be casting either way.

Yes, but why do you want a ex-player as a commentator if you already have a player as co-commentator? Players are good analyzers but not really as narrators.

Because sometimes the narrators/play-by-play/color casters just have no idea what they're saying, like Pansy or Semmler. I'd much rather have someone that knows what's actually going on in the game because they've actually played it before. Even Anders/lurppis or Anders/cArn would be nice.

he's overrated too, but not nearly as overrated as joe. he's a perfectly fine caster, but whenever he's announced for anything or there's some discussion regarding casters, he's praised like a god. I'd personally rather listen to lurrpis, semmler, redeye or threat any day.

i also liked threat very much. with lurppis, they are my favs.

I don't understand how I'm getting to you so much. I appreciate you as a caster, you put in a lot of hard work, but I just can't get excited when you cast. I'm not even saying I don't like your stream. I do, and I watch it. The reason I enjoy it though is because it's good quality, and you are easy on the ears. The best way I can describe how I feel about your casting is that I do enjoy listening to your stream, but I wouldn't use your commentary in a frag clip. Your style and voice doesn't really bring excitement to a cast, but I still find you entertaining. Sorry if this offends you.

Anders + fifflaren/steel/friberg/NBK = GOOD. I'm not a fant of Joe Miller, feels fake for some reason. Pansy is cool I guess, but I find her irritating after some rounds. This is obviously my opinion.

I just want the professional casters to do their homework really. It is honestly somewhat ridiculous that you can take any player even from semi-pro teams and they will be able to give viewers twice as much insight into the scene as the paid casters. I'm not talking about game analysis, that's not what play by play casters are paid for. But knowing a team's or player's history, recent clashes and outcomes, recent scene news surrounding the players and teams, etc. - these are all things I would think someone getting paid for talking people through a game should know. Redeye is pretty much the only PBP caster I've heard implementing such information into his casts on a regular basis.

well I dont really mind that, but the stuff pansy sometimes says is ridiculous yeah. like talking about CPH vs NiP in the past and drawing comparisons, but conveniently forgetting to note they since lost 2 of their star players in cajunb and device (even with great players like xypex and friis, its not the same thing and you cant expect the exact same results). that's the first that comes to my mind, but there were several other weird things she said x] if only I had more time to cast CS :p

I really hope lurppis will show up, he's pretty darn great! And Joe is just legend, I have no clue why someone would not love that guy. A shame he's only there the first day. Great to see Anders there too among these 'big' names. He's really doing a great job and I really like what he's doing :)

Its awesome with Joe back, i really enjoy watching when he is casting. And getting some players to join the cast is also cool, the few times ive watched with NiP players, have been really good. I personaly dont like Jasons casting, but Anders and Pansy i enjoy :)
