Final photos from ESWC 2013

Here is our final set of photos from ESWC 2013 in Paris, France where Clan-Mystik triumphed in the grand final over VeryGames.

The only match of the day was the all-French grand final on the main stage between Clan-Mystik and VeryGames, and the underdogs came out triumphant with a 2-0 scoreline.

Check out the photos from and around the stage in our final gallery from ESWC:

Also make sure to go through our galleries from the previous days which can be found here. Stay tuned as we will soon bring you an interview with two of the winners.

Well played guys! Edit: I would like to point out that it was stupid of the organisers to host this at 8:30 in the morning. The Black Ops 2 grand final was in the afternoon yesterday. While the entire tournament was badly timed, it was okay but a game with much bigger competitive scene than Black Ops 2 can not have its grand final at 8:30 in the morning on a bloody Sunday.

The Black Ops 2 grand final was today. This game is far more popular than CSGO here...

You're correct, it was the semi-final that was on yesterday. It was still at a better time and the grand final today, was also at a better time. It could well be more popular locally in France but you have a greater number of people watching it on the streams and that's where advertising is more effective. Personally I'd think the schedule is based around streaming more than 1000-2000 people in small sized arena.

Most countries on this planet have a different time zone. My 8:30 meant 9:30 CET. 9:30 on a Sunday isn't too great either.

Nice I really like to browse the gallery :) Whether there was a delay on middle screen for the audience?

I don't think so. The ESWC Main Stage stream didn't had any delay, so I assume there wasn't any delay at all for the audience watching the match on the main stage.

Thats good and bad, because they (admins etc.) gave the ghosting opportunity to not fp players. I'm sure that stage players had internet connection on their pc. I hope that no one has done anything like this on this tournament.

This reminds me of what elemeNt said years ago.. "At every big tournament theres always 1 team that surprises everyone and does really well, but then that team gets a lot of hype behind them and what you usually see is them fail next tournament to the more consistent teams." Will be interesting to see if they can consistently get good placings or if this was a one off in their home country.
