Pimp creates PRIMETIME

Former Copenhagen Wolves member Jacob "Pimp" Winneche has announced the creation of a new team called PRIMETIME.

The Danish player had been on the lookout for a new project after being released by Copenhagen Wolves earlier in the week, together with Michael "Friis" Jørgensen, following the team's quarter-final exit at the ESWC finals.

Rather than waiting for an opportunity to present itself, Winneche has opted to build a team from scratch, while making sure that all the right ingredients are there.

Nille and Pimp together again

To do so, he called René "cajunb" Borg, Casper "ruggah" Due and Nichlas "Nille" Busk, with whom he had played in the early days of CS:GO in Anexis.

Completing the lineup is Rasmus "raalz" Steensborg, a former member of Anexis' 1.6 division who was last seen playing for Xapso.

"After the recent player shuffle within the Danish scene, we quickly sorted out a starting five that could compete and do damage," Winneche told HLTV.org.

"The core is from the old Anexis back in 2012, with the addition of raalz, which means we don't have to start from scratch in terms of team play and strategies.

"We will be competing in the upcoming DreamHack qualifier next week with the ambition of qualifying for the main event.

"It is important to note that we're going official as a team and not just a temporary qualifier team.

"In hopes of attending future events, we are searching for an organization that can match our ambitions and support us in our campaign. If you're interested e-mail us at [email protected]!"

First Nico and device - and now cajunb is back from "retirement" as well? Danish scene is a joke, and I'm ashamed by the lack of professionalism! Grow up and either retire or commit to the game. Hell, even a temporary leave is fine if necessary, but the constant "I'm done/stepping down/retiring/starting to fulfill my lifelong IRL dream" followed by a "I'm back!" a few weeks/months later is just pathetic. Might not sound like much of a fan, but ironically enough I am indeed! I'm just tired of cheering for indecisive players who aren't in it for the long run.

cajunb has been playing with oXzone since the danish ESWC qualifier he also attented NPF with oXzone, so it must be "first cajunb - and now Nico and device is back from "retirement" as well ;)

I don't agree. I definately care if players go inactive and active as they like. First of all it's unprofessional (considering the image of esports in general), but also it's annoying as a fan, as you never know if your favourite team/players will be around for long. That's why I had great respect for a player like Friis, who's been around for ages and didn't come and go as he liked. Sure, he probably wasn't the best AWP'er around, but I respected him and his play nevertheless. Commitment to the game and being willing to put in the hours for success (even when things aren't going your way) are quality attributes in this game as well in my opinion.

I agree with you to an extent, things may pop up in life that they can't do at the same time as being a pro gamer, say say he got a night time job or something, then leaves the job, nothing wrong with him coming back to something he loves!

I'm pointing out what seems to be a current trend in the danish scene and that it's pathetic. "Oh look at me, I'm retiring. Goodbye world, please all comment on how sad you are that I won't be around anymore" shortly followed by a "I'm back! THE KING IS BACK! Please all comment on how glad you all are that I'm returning".. It's kids being unprofessional (which we can actually agree on it seems), and that's pathetic and annoying in my opinion. Now if you don't give a shit plz don't waste any more of you own or my time, and stop commenting in a thread about "kids playing a computer game". it was a while back now, but when raalz came onto the 1.6-scene he reminded me of f0rest when he bloomed into a star. that natural movement and raw aim! great talent! good luck :)

oXzone with gla1ve/cajun as you saw was not a "real" team - never went official, and I doubt they ever spoke about that. Probably gla1ve and cajun were with them because they played GDK SuperSeries and were about to qualify for the LAN finals (which they didn't in the end)

I've the same issue here in Ireland(I'm located in Ireland even though I'm Danish). However, Jay Atkins said yesterday there's a Chrome add-on fix for it. So try to google for twitch lag fix chrome or something.
