fnatic sign pronax; MODDII out

fnatic have announced via their website that they have completed the signing of Markus "pronax" Wallsten from n!faculty.

The news comes just a week after the ESWC finals in Paris, where fnatic were sent packing in the quarter-finals following a 2-1 defeat at the hands of VeryGames, who would go on to finish in second place.

It was the latest of a series of disappointing results from the former Epsilon team, who were signed by fnatic in August following a runners-up finish at DreamHack Summer.

MODDII out of fnatic once again

With the MSI Beat It Finals and DreamHack Winter just around the corner, fnatic have decided to stir things up a little bit by replacing longtime member Andreas "MODDI" Fridh with Markus "pronax" Wallsten from n!faculty.

In his official statement to fnatic.com, Fridh did not reveal what lies ahead for him, but the former 1.6 ace stressed that he will continue to play.

"It is time for me to say goodbye once more to the fnatic family, everything isn't always easy but sometimes you need to think what is best for all parts," Fridh told fnatic’s website.

"I would like to thank all the fnatic members for always being there and support everything I've done and always being so professional.

"Big thanks to Patrik and Anne for just being really awesome. Take care all of you guys out there and I wish the new Fnatic team all the luck in the future hope we will meet on the battlefield!"

Fnatic’s Chief Gaming Officer, Patrik "cArn" Sättermon, also commented on the move, saying:

"For quite some time we have been struggling with defining the player roles and responsibilities in our CS:GO division," Sättermon noted.

"Particularly we have not achieved as good as we would like to with the in-game leadership.This has affected the chemistry of the team to an extent that we do not see any other solution than to make room for an experienced leader, something we believe we are finding in Markus "pronax" Wallsten who is joining our ranks with immediate effect.

"On a sadder note the addition of Pronax means that we are forced to bid farewell to our longest serving member, Andreas “Moddii” Frid”. Even though we believe that this is the right choice in order optimize our chances of future success and balance within the group, Andreas experience and skills will certainly be missed.

"On behalf of the Fnatic organisation I would like to extend our thanks to n!faculty for being so cooperative with the player transfer, and best of luck to Moddii in the future.

"The next time you will see the Fnatic CS:GO team led by Pronax in action will be at the MSI Beat it grand-finals in Beijing next weekend."

fnatic's first event with the new lineup will be the MSI Beat It World Finals, which will take place from November 23rd to 24th, in China, with $22,000 up for grabs in the tournament.

What I've heard from ppl playing with him he has a bad attitude, which is hard to fit in a team. It's hard to find a place in a team for a guy like that, even though he shoots hard.

yes he was inconsistent but when he played he was really sick in a lot of situations he can reach ScreaM's aim in go if he puts his mind into it.

Even though fisker sprays - he still hits on the first, second - lets be generous and say 3rd shot... thats called gun-control, which I would say is just as impressive as 1-shots, and the last shot from fisker is a 1shot too... + bear in mind fisker is the kind of dude who created this community, zneel is the offspring, probaly idolizing fisker in his early days... what im trying to say is that fisker is the master, and zneel is the result of an evolvement, to me its more impressive to be first master than last master...

Just to make something clear, I'm really not a fan of zneel. And I never said that fiskers ace was bad in anyway, it's not. I just said that in zneels video the ace isn't the "wow factor", it's the oneshots. I did not compare those two videos.

Don't know if that would work... Idea sounds good but won't happen. If a player from a top team decides to leave gaming outside the transfer market then the team would have to sign a player without a team ? Not fair xp But this does look like a transfer market. n! change 3 and the minute later comes the info on hltv that fnatic signed one of the kicked players. And it isn't over yet, I don't see MODDII without a team so perhaps one or more news coming, don't forget Edward too and the players that were kicked + MYM announcing csgo team. Make a 250000$ tournament and teams lose their minds ahah

imo pronax is underrated and a very good IGL. natural choice as it means if they use him as an IGL devilwalk can just focus on his play. and pronax comes up big in a lot of big games for his team. good choice. just wish team x, rdl, lidde, pyth, spitfire and pronax had stuck it out.

Even if they were looking for a new IGL, they wouldn't have kicked MODDII, especially not one week before a big tournament. I'm sure there are other reasons surrounding this, maybe the traditional SK vs. fnatic player rotation thing? MODDII joining pita in SK (former Lemondogs) is what I have been wanting to see for months. Would be great. -xelos.

i don't get that statement, my brain is twiching, so you kick freaking moddii, who in my humble opinion is not the weakest link to get a teamleader who will have the role of being one of the weaker links, cause in the end he's the strat maker and nobody can say shit about his frags, unless they are lower then fifflaren's. wtf just say he was an asshole and got kicked (i can't imagine he got kicked without a reason) or he retired/found a different team.
