Dynamo's matches in ESEA Invite have been overtuned after Dallas "HitmaN" Micks was caught cheating.

The North American community woke up on Sunday to the news that Dynamo, one of the top teams in the continent, had seen all of their matches overturned after one of their players, Dallas "HitmaN" Micks, had been caught cheating.

Dynamo were sitting third in the league, with a 5-4 record, and looked like a serious candidate to reach the LAN finals after defeating teams like United5, complexity and Frost Gaming.

At first, it was thought that Dynamo would be marked dead in the league, but ESEA has now made it clear that the Canadian team will still be able to play out the remainder of the competition.

"All of our members were completely unaware of this as we have attended lans with him and did notice anything that was worth questioning online,” Damien "daps" Steele told HLTV.org.

"We would like to take this time to apologize to our fans and supporters as well as anyone that may have been negatively affected by HitmaN. Being in the position that we were makes this even sting more as we were sitting comfortably in 3rd place of ESEA-Invite.

"All of our matches that have already been played will be forfeited regardless of whether HitmaN cheated in those specific matches or not.

"ESEA has allowed us to continue in Invite for the remainder of the season with an 0-9 record with the best possible outcome being a 7-9 finish which has an extremely low chance of making the lan event at the end of the season."

Meanwhile, Dynamo have confirmed that they are in the market for two new players to replace not only Micks but also Cory "STATUTORY_APE" Bate, who has joined Power Players Club.

Dynamo currently have the following players:

Michael "miKnutty" Vitaterna

Darren "snk" Cooper

The jokes he made the last 2 yrs, the way he denied it last night on mumble, some say the videos, but for me....him having 2 friends join our old team who both got cheating bans months before him. I also don't think you randomly get picked out of a hat to get a vac ban then a ESEA ban months later.

Well get used to this. USB hacks are not detectable first of all. If you watched their nuke match you would have thought what everyone in twitch thought. THAT DAPS was fearlessly walling and hard angling corners only when they were occupied. ESEA reviewed their matches and banned a caught former cheater instead of the real culprit since getting the absolute solid proof was impossible. And what person would use detectable hack in esea-i simply taking their chances. BTW he said on stream"i'll go back to playing online and there WILL BE OTHER HITMANS". What do you take that to mean?

i got banned from ESEA for cheating after not playing for two months... however it was around the time of the bitcoin scandal and i was very active on the forums about it i know ESEA bans without proof (not speaking for or against hitman i dont know him) that's a fact, and any hope i ever had of competing at a high level in CS is totally ruined because ESEA is our only option here in NA it's just really unfortunate that the service is so corrupt and bias

The ban is from their Anti-Cheat, not from youtube videos. ESEA admins/owners know what it is, but they probably don't want to share it because it will help others beat their system. I know the ESEA client does take occasional screenshots, what else I dont know...

I kinda agree on ESEA or any other league for that matter, not showing evidence of bans (being screenshots, client logs, whatever) to the general audience as that might lead to some speculations on how things work behind the scenes and some shady stuff might be developed to bypass clients, avoiding detection, stopping it from working properly basically, etc. If they banned someone, they probably had reasons to do so, being via anticheat detection or manual ban (demo analysis) or not, just my two cents...

Daps may have been the one cheating now but they have hitman on vac ban and since he IS a cheater but neither one was caught on client. MAYBE they would have banned daps but it was more reasonable since they didn't have esea client proof. esea doesn't provide proof because they don't want people to know exactly how the client catches people, that would just make it easier to build a cheat against it. people will always deny cheating after being banned for it. this is no exception
