We managed to talk Richard "shox" Papillon into doing an interview in English together with his teammate Nathan "NBK" Schmitt right after the MSI Beat it! 2013 final.

VeryGames added another trophy to their cabinet after defeating fnatic in the final after a 2-0 win, but still a closely contested match.

Richard "shox" Papillon was the absolute star of the clash, having a 62:33 score combined in the two maps, including two pistol round aces. Among other things we asked him about what sparked that display and if he will be able to continue playing like that.

The duo also discusses their performance in the tournament overall, their view of China and the fans they encountered, as well as the upcoming $250,000 DreamHack Winter tournament.

I heard Quebecers have as much trouble to learn english as french, and they also have a very similar accent when speaking english. Btw, it's all about trying, I was born in France and I barely have a french accent when I speak english.

You are right, he usually is top2 together with Scream in terms of price. But one is always tempted to try out different lineups (price + skills) before setting up/choosing the 'final' one, aren't we? ;)

Sure thing. I just presumed, that due to overall high level of participating teams, it will be very hard to find someone that cheap to put Shox in. Just my guess. But maybe we will be given some decent amount of money, though I doubt it... :)

Well we don't have the best accent but we are trying hard. As you can hear, shox is pretty decent in English, but it's just difficult to speak it. Besides you are wrong, most of the french people know english quite well, they just don't bother to speak it because it could be awkward :p

Even though we in Denmark all learn to speak english, the danish people is SO bad at english. I can always spot a dane instantly if I only heard them speak english. It was nice that someone else than NBK finally did a english interview, he might not be the best at english, but everything was understandable which is the most important part and the more he does it, the better he gets and all on HLTV loves those interviews. And dont get me wrong, NBK is king if I could see an interview with NBK everyday I would. One thing I noticed that was funny. Ambitions, ambitation(Amputation).

Gotta wonder what shox is doing differently now. Hopefully, whatever it is will make him perform as well as or better than he did at Beat It. I also find it funny that there's a schism between the VG players over whether CM present any sort of threat or not; I side with shox myself. And judging from NBK's comment, I'm guessing we'll be getting a new sponsor announcement post-Dreamhack? Can't wait to see who it is!
